Obi-Wan Kenobi wasn't without its flaws, but for the most part, the series really struck a chord with fans. Picking up with "Ben" 10 years after the events of Revenge of the Sith, we found the Jedi Master on Tatooine cut off from the Force and completely disillusioned after the events of Order 66.
After being tasked with protecting Princess Leia and learning Anakin Skywalker was now Darth Vader, Obi-Wan eventually regained his mojo and the show ended on a positive note when he reunited with Qui-Gon Jinn.
We can probably fill in the gaps from there as it's obvious his former Master's Force Ghost teaches him how to also live on after death. While we're sure old Ben embarked on more adventures - Star Wars Rebels confirmed Maul comes looking for the hero - leaving Obi-Wan Kenobi as a limited series would be no bad thing. Fans, however, are eager for more!
Talking to Entertainment Weekly (via SFFGazette.com) at Star Wars Celebration, Lucasfilm President Kathleen Kennedy reiterated that there are no current plans for more episodes but said there is a good chance we'll see more of Ewan McGregor's beloved Jedi.
"I always hesitate to say 'No, we won’t do anything more with Obi-Wan Kenobi,'" she said. "Maybe what we end up doing is something that gets incorporated into some of the other stories we’re doing or eventually a movie. Who knows?"
"But right now [Obi-Wan Kenobi] is still our standalone, limited series. We have no plans for expansion right now."
In terms of what stories Kenobi could be incorporated into, it's hard to say.
McGregor being aged up a little for the planned movie revolving around Rey, for example, is one possibility. Fans also remain eager for a Darth Vader spin-off, so Obi-Wan may well show up there too. Ultimately, it depends on what Lucasfilm has planned for this Galaxy in the years ahead.
