Obi-Wan Kenobi wasn't without its flaws, but for the most part, the series really struck a chord with fans. Picking up with "Ben" 10 years after the events of Revenge of the Sith, we found the Jedi Master on Tatooine cut off from the Force and completely disillusioned after the events of Order 66.

After being tasked with protecting Princess Leia and learning Anakin Skywalker was now Darth Vader, Obi-Wan eventually regained his mojo and the show ended on a positive note when he reunited with Qui-Gon Jinn.

We can probably fill in the gaps from there as it's obvious his former Master's Force Ghost teaches him how to also live on after death. While we're sure old Ben embarked on more adventures - Star Wars Rebels confirmed Maul comes looking for the hero - leaving Obi-Wan Kenobi as a limited series would be no bad thing. Fans, however, are eager for more!

Talking to Entertainment Weekly (via SFFGazette.com) at Star Wars Celebration, Lucasfilm President Kathleen Kennedy reiterated that there are no current plans for more episodes but said there is a good chance we'll see more of Ewan McGregor's beloved Jedi.

"I always hesitate to say 'No, we won’t do anything more with Obi-Wan Kenobi,'" she said. "Maybe what we end up doing is something that gets incorporated into some of the other stories we’re doing or eventually a movie. Who knows?"

"But right now [Obi-Wan Kenobi] is still our standalone, limited series. We have no plans for expansion right now."

In terms of what stories Kenobi could be incorporated into, it's hard to say.

McGregor being aged up a little for the planned movie revolving around Rey, for example, is one possibility. Fans also remain eager for a Darth Vader spin-off, so Obi-Wan may well show up there too. Ultimately, it depends on what Lucasfilm has planned for this Galaxy in the years ahead.

They dropped the ball on both Obi Wan and Boba Fett

The two projects people would have been interested in right from the start

@dracula - Boba Fett was horrible. The Mods made the show feel like a CW episode of Vampire Diaries.

I feel like the Star Wars shows could mostly do with a restructure of their story structure. They might be better served setting up the end in the first episode as opposed to letting it play out and have the audience find out in the last 1-2 episodes. For example, if Boba Fett's first episode set up that this was going to be a battle between crime lords then the entire season would be driving to that point and it would feel like it has more momentum. Only now are we really finding out what all of S3 of Mando was about. Would feel more exciting if we had more clarity earlier.

Just my take as an arm chair viewer with no real talent for TV writing.

They should make a new season. Leave leia out and focus on him and being a Jedi hermit.

@micvalpro - the bizarre thing is him alone with flashbacks filling gaps between 1, 2 and 3 and maybe some insight on the Force would already be so much better than S1.

@micvalpro - definitely leave out Leia and also Vader. Not so sure if I want him constantly leaving Tatooine, but I am also kinda tired of seeing Tatooine (BOBF).

I’d be all for more Ewan McGregor coming back as Obi-Wan, but twenty years passed between the events of Revenge of the Sith and A New Hope, and Revenge of the Sith came out 18 years ago. If they want to tell more Obi-Wan stories, pre-ANH, they’re kinda running out of runway.

Alec Guinness, in A New Hope, acted like he’d been living in the desert for at least ten years.
