We recently learned that upcoming Disney+ The Mandalorian spin-off, Ahsoka, will premiere on August 31, and Empire Magazine has now shared a new look at the highly-anticipated Star Wars show via its latest covers.

During Star Wars Celebration back in April, we finally got confirmation that Ahsoka will feature the live-action introduction of Star Wars Rebels villain, Grand Admiral Thrawn (Lars Mikkelsen) While his take on the ruthless Chiss officer was shown during an event-exclusive teaser, an official image has yet to be released.

We're going to have to wait a little longer to see Thrawn in all his glory, but this subscriber cover does tease his debut. The news-stand version, meanwhile, gives us an awesome new look at Rosario Dawson's titular force-wielder, igniting her dual lightsabers.

Check out both covers below, and keep an eye on SFFGazette.com for more Ahsoka news over the next few days.

Set after the fall of the Empire, Ahsoka follows the former Jedi knight Ahsoka Tano as she investigates an emerging threat to a vulnerable galaxy.

The series stars Rosario Dawson in the title role, with Natasha Liu Bordizzo as Sabine Wren, Mary Elizabeth Winstead as Hera Syndulla, Diana Lee Inosanto as Morgan Elsbeth, Ivanna Sakhno as Shin Hati, Ray Stevenson as Baylan Skoll, David Tennant as Huyang, Lars Mikkelsen as Grand Admiral Thrawn, with Eman Esfandi appearing as Ezra Bridger.

Kevin Kiner was announced as the series' composer.

Ahoska is written by executive producer Dave Filoni, alongside executive producers Favreau, Kennedy, Wilson, and Beck. Gilchrist is co-executive producer. The series’ directors include Filoni, Steph Green, Peter Ramsey, Jennifer Getzinger, Geeta Vasant Patel and Rick Famuyiwa.

@Mother[frick]erJon - finest? No, there are several other woman currently living who are more light, thin, delicate or whispy.

The month that The Flash comes out and it's not even mentioned on the cover.

I've noticed this. Paid promotions and YouTube chat about the Ezra controversy aside, this thing has zero presence, which is the weirdest thing in the world for those of us looking for nostalgia.
I collected so many magazines, cups, happy meal toys, cereal boxes, pop tarts boxes. posters, t-shirts, soundtracks (and on and on...) for the OG Burtonverse movies, but there doesn't seem to be any tie-in promo merch for this one at all. There's hot toys and funkos of course, but no cross-promotional presence.

Not even magazine covers. It's like an indie movie to them.

Actually, I get the feeling that the real reason is that nobody wants to be seen supporting or being excited for the movie in any official capacity. It's a taboo subject.
I've seen promos for cinema chains that mention every major movie this summer and none of them even mention The Flash.

Something is afoot. Two feet. Two big red stinky feet running around chasing 12 year old girls and being violent, to be really precise about it.
