Baby Yoda is not only cuter than a Porg, but also a formidable, Force sensitive creature that's sent speculation into overdrive about what it could mean for the
Star Wars Universe moving forward.
Now,
The Mandalorian executive producer Jon Favreau has taken to Instagram to give fans the chance to be thankful for the beloved alien and, as you can see in the behind the scenes video below, we get to see how the creature was brought to life on set thanks to some amazing practical effects.
As we told you last night, legendary actor Werner Herzog called Favreau and Dave Filoni "cowards" for daring to consider replacing the Baby Yoda puppet with a CG version.
Unfortunately, proper Baby Yoda merchandise (by that,
we mean more than concept art plastered on t-shirts and phone cases) isn't expected to reach stores until early next year, but it's fair to say that it's going to fly off shelves.
