The Mandalorian's third season has delivered some massive surprises and taken us to previously unexplored areas of this Galaxy Far, Far Away.

However, it's become apparent that many of the ideas meant to be explored in the cancelled Rangers of the New Republic spin-off have been added to The Mandalorian. Even though that's proven to be far from a bad thing, it has slightly slowed the show's momentum due to what some viewers perceive to be "filler" episodes.

Things picked up in "The Pirate," and with it now confirmed that Moff Gideon escaped the New Republic - or was taken from them - we can't wait to see where the story goes next.

With only three weeks left, the pace is about to pick up in a big way, and a LEGO set (first revealed on SFFGazette.com) may offer a better idea of what will happen in The Mandalorian's season 3 finale.

Based on what's shown here, it appears Din Djarin - or that "Mandalorian Fleet Commandor" - will pilot a Mandalorian Fang Fighter for an ariel battle that will also feature TIE Interceptors. We saw them destroy Bo-Katan Kryze's home a couple of weeks ago, though it was unclear who sent them.

Given what we now know, Gideon seems to be a safe bet and we wouldn't be at all surprised if he's managed to convince some of the Mandalorians who were once loyal to the Empire to fight by his side.

While this is likely just a small part of a much larger final battle, it offers some intriguing insights into what's coming.

You can take a closer look at this LEGO set for The Mandalorian in the Reddit post below.

This just reminds me of the fateful day when my Grandson no longer wondered how many small lego pieces would fit in his nose because he had just found out.

@DocSpock - Dude.....

When my daughter was like 3 or 4 she stuck one of those small lego wheels in her nose and it got stuck. I know all about Legos in the nose, unfortunately.

The showrunners have a very annoying habit of putting characters in a corner...someone appears and saves them. It goes on and on. So some jackass will appear and save the Mandalorians. The Mythosaur will eventually pop out of the water and save the day. Not much else they can do.

@PartyKiller - You're going to love this weeks episode then.....not😅

Just finished it... it's such a filler episode in an otherwise filler filled season.

But I will say, watching this thinking WTF, I did realise...you know what. The Mandalorion does need to aim towards to wider general audience at times and having LIZZO and Jack Black I guess checks that box. As far as thr hard-core fans go, I'm sure they're going to hate it.

@UniqNo - I haven't watched the new episode yes but goddamn I hope you are joking.

@UniqNo - Even Star Trek has too much class to let Jack Black do a cameo.

Another ongoing problem is too much earth stuff in Disney Star Wars. Yellow crime scene holo tape?

@CorndogBurglar - Sadly I am not.. but that's what made me take a step out of my fanboy shoes.

Some little kid or mommy may see that episode and get interested and generally use that interest as a segue into the deeper lore thus giving it more fans, but I hope it doesn't alienate the ones they already have in the process.

But from my perspective, yeah it was trash. And I usually like BDH'S directed episodes.

@PartyKiller - haha yeah, but that was the smallest problem in my view. I thought...wait wouldn't an fighter droid stay and fight? Since when do they run away????

@UniqNo - I really hope you are kidding about those cameos. I was going to finish the season but I may just bow out now. As if dude from SNL in the New Republic didn’t take me out enough. There is zero reason for Lizzo to be in Star Wars.
