Naboo was introduced in Star Wars: The Phantom Menace, but the space-saga has never seemed to be in too big a rush to return to the Gungan home planet, and outside of the prequels, the location hasn't really featured in a live-action setting since.
Could that be about to change on the small screen?
According to Making Star Wars, two prequel-era starships will feature in upcoming episodes of The Mandalorian: Boba Fett's Slave 1, and a Naboo N-1 Starfighter.
Fett's iconic ship will reportedly appear in one of the remaining season 2 episodes (which makes sense considering the bounty hunter is almost certain to return to confront Din Djarin before/during the finale), while the N-1 Starfighter is said to have been constructed for the upcoming third season.
Though this is far from confirmation that we will revisit Naboo on the show, it is a pretty good indication that the planet - and possibly its extremely irritating inhabitants - will factor into the plot in some capacity. Could Jar Jar Binks himself show up? It would be a perfect opportunity for Ahmed Best to reprise the role and give some closure to the character, but that might be a stretch.
What do you guys think? Would you like to see Mando and Grogu pay a little visit to Naboo during season 3 of The Mandalorian?
