The Mandalorian's second season was packed full of surprises as the Disney+ series started to embrace the wider Star Wars Universe in meaningful and exciting ways. The live-action debut of Ahsoka Tano was an undeniable highlight, of course, and the future looks bright for the character.
Voiced by Ashley Eckstein in The Clone Wars, and played here by Luke Cage star Rosario Dawson, Ahsoka is now getting her own TV series, and is likely to be a fixture of these small screen stories for years to come.
What you may not know is that yesterday was "Ahsoka Tano Day," and to mark the occasion, Dawson took to Twitter to share a very cool video of what her transformation into the beloved character actually entailed.
"Happy [Ahsoka Tano Day]!" the actress says in the Tweet accompanying this video. "Thank you [Ashley Eckstein] for bringing Ashoka to life for us all. It’s one of the greatest honors [and] privileges of my life to share this remarkable character [with] the world alongside you."
Dawson goes on to credit executive producers and writers/directors Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni as well as the team that helped turn her into Ahsoka Tano.
