Three photos from the set of V for Vendetta, the big screen adaptation of Alan Moore’s graphic novel being put together by the Wachowski Brothers (The Matrix Trilogy) for Warner Bros.
The film debuts Nov. 4 and is described by the trades as follows:
"Set against the futuristic landscape of totalitarian Britain, V For Vendetta tells the story of a mild-mannered young woman named Evey (Natalie Portman) who is rescued from a life-and-death situation by a masked vigilante (James Purefoy) known only as 'V.' Incomparably charismatic and ferociously skilled in the art of combat and deception, V ignites a revolution when he detonates two London landmarks and takes over the government-controlled airwaves, urging his fellow citizens to rise up against tyranny and oppression. As Evey uncovers the truth about V's mysterious background, she also discovers the truth about herself -- and emerges as his unlikely ally in the culmination of his plot to bring freedom and justice back to a society fraught with cruelty and corruption."
A Superhero Hype source wrote this about the Berlin set:
"Last night a filmcrew was shooting several scenes for 'V for Vendetta' right in front of the house I live in, here in Berlin/Germany near Alexanderplatz (Alexandersquare). The whole movie is being produced in the Babelsberg Studios near Berlin. Stephen Rea and a few other 'agents' were moving up and down the street in their grey Rovers while a simulated heavy rain went down on them. Most of the shots were made when it was already dark outside, so I only could take a few pictures of the scenery."
