Lady Gaga Fans Are Trolling VENOM With Fake Reviews To Promote A STAR IS BORN

Venom opens in theaters this Friday...the same day as Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga's A Star is Born. Now, the singer's fans have taken to social media to bombard the movie with fake bad reviews...

As comic book fans, we're all used to passionate fanbases (just look at the war between Marvel and DC obsessives) but it seems as if that pales in comparison to Lady Gaga's devoted followers. The singer has received raved reviews for her performance in Bradley Cooper's A Star Is Born - as has the movie itself - and her faithful fans have actually spent all of last night and today...trolling Sony's Venom movie?!

That's right, in a bid to ensure that A Star Is Born performs well at the box office weekend, Gaga's followers (dubbed "Little Monsters") are using bots and fake Tweets to slam Venom. What they probably don't realise is that the first reactions to the movie have been pretty terrible and no matter what they do, the reviews are unlikely to be good anyway. Still, that hasn't really stopped them!

Buzzfeed actually reached out to many of these so-called Venom fans who saw the movie last night and learned that they are indeed trolling the movie either just for laughs or because they're determined to do everything within their power to make sure her first major movie role is a success. You can see some examples of the Tweets they're sending out below and many are inadvertently hilarious.

After all, seeing as A Star Is Born is R-Rated, it's kind of hard to imagine these parents taking their children to see it but you do have to feel for the women whose son was left comatose by Venom...
