VENOM Concept Art Reveals Alternate Designs And A Ridiculous Take On The Symbiote's Chest Symbol
A new round of Venom concept art has been revealed, and as well as different designs for the titular character, we also get some pretty laughable takes on the anti-hero's chest symbol. Check it out...
Venom wasn't loved by every comic book fan out there but moviegoers definitely embraced Eddie Brock's first solo adventure, and you need only look at the movie's box office results for evidence of that.
For the most part, the titular Symbiote looked pretty awesome on screen but one missing key component was the spider symbol on his chest. It obviously wouldn't have made much sense for that to be included as this Venom has never crossed paths with Spider-Man, but this newly surfaced concept art confirms that Sony Pictures considered it.
However, going for a "V" symbol on his chest would have been pretty silly, as would some of the other ideas that were considered here (back when the movie was known as "Antidote"). Seeing a blue version of Venom is surprisingly cool, though.
This isn't the highest quality of artwork but it definitely provides a better idea of how different the anti-hero could have looked on the big screen had the studio taken things in a slightly different direction.
