I have never had a video game of my own, the economy has been tough and has put a huge dent with owning for a few more years, but i have played the New Batman game, it was a trill ride. I would be grateful if i won an xbox. I can see it matching my blanket.

I would say Arkham Asylum but EVERYONE is going to say that, and im not that big a batman fan anyway.

But the best superhero game ive played is Ultimate Spider-Man. Great design, great story (By Brian Bendis no less) Your webbing actually connects to buildings when you swing (Like in spier-man 2 but you dont have the film cuffed story and voice acting) AND YOU CAN PLAY AS VENOM! That sells it just by itself. Also the cut scenes and a large chunk of the game are like panles in a comic book. And I wouldnt have it any other way.

I would have to agree with Jay. Ultimate Spider-Man was freaking awesome. I can't think of one bad thing about it, other than the fact that it ended!

But I already have an X-Box :)

Honestly I think that Justice League Heroes was one of the best Superhero games I've played, there was so many options to play as characters who probably couldn't carry their own game.

I would love to have an Xbox 360 Elite because, well free stuff is great!

X-Men: Children of the Atom.

Is testament to how an arcade game should be done and still stands as one of the most faithful arcade games, not only capturing the spirit of the comic but also recreating the look and feel of the animated series.

Plus it spawned the successful Vs. series such as;
X-Men vs. Street Fighter
Marvel Super Heroes vs. Street Fighter
Marvel vs. Capcom: Clash of Super Heroes
Marvel vs. Capcom 2: New Age of Heroes

I would love to win an X-Box Elite so i can own and play Marvel vs. Capcom 2 via Live.

Hands down the best superhero game, is Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Turtles in Time for the SNES. I don't want to sound like a nostalgic nancy, but this game had multiplayer action, Shredder, Super Shredder, time travel, the ability to throw your enemies into oblivion, or smash them around to knockout everyone around you, high speed action packed bonus stages... and oh so much more.

I would like to win the Xbox because I have never owned a next gen system while it it still next gen (I just bought a gamecube). Also I haven't played halo 3 yet...

I love marvel ultimate alliance, I liked the game play and I liked how you could upgrade the characters. It was also cool to see some of the lesser known characters in the game, and dress them up retro style. I have played that 4 times now and still don't get tired of it.

I would have to say that my favourite comic book movie games was Spider-Man 2 on the Playstation 2. Though the first Spider-Man movie game was great and I had played other free roaming titles like GTA, never before had I felt the freedom I felt in Spider-Man 2! Swinging around the city as people from the surrounding buildings/street shouted abuse/praise actually made me fell like I was THE Amazing Spider-Man, lol! At that time the graphics really were top notch and the storyline was great fun. Facing off against classic Spidey villains (like The Rhino, Shocker, Mysterio and The Black Cat) was great fun not to mention the brilliant face offs against Doc Ock which rivalled the fight scenes of the movie for pure awesome-ness! Since this game there have been plenty of other Spidey titles - some good (Ultimate Spider-Man) and some not so good (Web of Shadows). However, Spider-Man 2 is the only one that in my opinion gave the best Spider-Man experience and to date is perhaps the greatest example of a game actually making you feel like a superhero!!! :)

As for why I should win the X-Box...well, im gonna start training to become a teacher next year so Im gonna need something to help me chill out right!? :D

I really loved Web of Shadows. I don't see why people bash on it. The graphics were great, the combat was excellent, the story also great, overall just a great game.

The only bad thing I can think of is the voice actor for Spider-Man, but he was only bad in the beginning part of the game. I got used to his voice after the beginning.

I have reading articles on this site for the past 3 years and this is my 1st post. *** Applause ****
Anyways, I think there have been many good/ decent comic book games made over the years. Obviously some better then others (example Batman: Arkham Aslyum). There is one game however I feel has always had an impact on me when I think about comic book games. Many of you may have played this game back in the day while you were a child and many of you will scratch your heads trying to remember this game. The game is called.....Comix Zone... The game was developed for the Sega Genesis. Comix Zone was a fun game that appealed to that comic book fanboy inside of me. The story in Comix Zone is that you are a comic book writer that is one day sucked into one of his own stories. You then have to fight your way through the comic book. Comix Zone was your pretty regular side scrolling beat ‘em up game but the setting was a nice touch. Each level you advanced to have panels just like in a comic book to make it look like you were really fighting your way through a comic. If you're a video game fan and a comic book fan this game will definitely be appealing to you... I should win Because I choose an original game that many people may have forgoten. The game truly was a comic book inside of a game. You can't ask for anything more than that.....

JoshWilding - 9/11/2009, 5:52 PM
9ERFAN: Welcome man! :)

TYLER: ugh, i really didnt enjoy Web of Shadows! The story was pretty good but the voice overs were awful (AND they sounded like theyd been recorded on a mobile phone!) and though the combat was good it was just way too repetitive for my liking. Also, the fact that you couldnt carry on playing after you finished the story was really poor IMO.

CBM: apparently they gave up on Dreamcast because it couldnt compete with the then newly released PS2! its a pity actually because it wasan excellent console - Ready toRumble Boxing was one of my favourites! I did read somewhere though that it was still having games made for it up until 2006 over in Japan!

Batman: Arkham Asylum is a GREAT game but I will have to go with Marvel: Ultimate Alliance. I have played that game countless numbers of times and it's been an enjoyable experience each and every time. The story is great and the combinations of teams allows for interesting gameplay. Hopefully, M: UA2 will meet all of my expectations and top the first one as my all-time favorite superhero video game!

I need an XBox because I've only played M: UA on the PS2 and I've heard that the experience on the XBox is incredible! Playing my favorite superhero game on the XBox is going to be great. Playing my favorite superhero game on the XBox while getting Twitter updates? Priceless!

My favorite superhero game was the X-Men arcade game. I remember I had just graduated 2nd grade and my parents would send me and my sister to the movie theaters during the summer for some cheap matinees they had. She would give us 2 dollars to buy snack food(ahh those were the days) and I would spend every quater on that game. The best part of it was the fact that there was other kids who were waiting for the movies to start and would join in. Up to six players could play at a time. This was awesome for anybody who was used to the Nintendo and could only play with two players. Was this the first multiplayer game? How cool would that have been if the first multiplayer game was a superhero game. Anyways us kids could barely reach the buttons but it was awesome none the less. It was also the first game I ever wanted to play as a female. Dazzler had this sweet fist slam attack that would flash pink and explode. Plus she jumped high which was great for those drop kicks that were crucial in those side scrollers. I also like Colossus flash attack, which makes no sense to me now. When did Colossus ever flash in the comics? That game was also responsible for getting me into comics. Without that game I wouldn't have bought my first comic Wolverine #68 when I was at the drugstore with my step father. Which then made me want to watch X-Men The Animated Series making me want to buy comics so I could learn about these characters. Wow thank you guys so much for having this contest. That was a great trip down memory lane. I'm going to go on ebay right now and see if they have that arcade game. Ohh nevermind $1,000 is too much. Also sorry if this was too long.

Well I finally got a Twitter account. OldManRyan. Also I realized I'm supposed to say why I deserve to win. Whatever I say will make me sound selfish. The only thing I can say is that I love my comic books and I thought the X-BOX 360 was awesome when I played it with some friends on my last deployment in Iraq at a MWR center. (Not that I should get it for being in the military)

My favorite superhero game is X-Men Origins: Wolverine. Even though the movie really sucked, the game was kick ass. It was the first time you actually got to play as Wolverine the way he is meant to be played.

Why should I get the X-Box Elite? Well, I am in college and I don't have a game system. It would be sweet to finally have one. Thanks CBM

I would have to say the best I've played is Marvel Ultimate Alliance. You can breeze through the levels when you play with friends and it is really fun at the end when your character is really overpowered.

A 360 would be awesome just because. It would be great to see 360 versions of games in full hi-def resolution.

Dude Ultimate Alliance was one of the best superhero video games. i like how you got to chose your upgrades and change the hero's costumes to change their stats.

I would love to have a 360. i recently lost my job so my plans to buy one have been shot. It would be really great to be able to play games in hi-def (and not to mention when i get a new job xbox live.)

Xmen origins Wolverine really let Wolverine cut loose. When you have sharp claws and a healing factor. Your game should the show the impact of your powers.

I would like to get to get an Xbox. I had an Xbox go out 2 weeks after the warranty expired
Thanks

I have to say that I'm a huge fan of Marvel vs. Capcom 2 because I get to play as some of my favourite characters. Ultimate Alliance was a close second so I'm pretty excited about the second one

I think that I should win because I love to play video games and my old xbox suffered from the infamous RRoD a while back. It would be good to get a new gaming system in the house =DDD
