As the COG in Overrun, your job is to defend objectives. Their are four classes to choose from on the COG side in order to help and support your teammates as well as defend the objective. The classes are Engineer, Soldier, Scout, and the Medic. Each of those classes have unique and special equipment to help in the game. In the next few paragraphs I will be explaining each class.
As an Engineer, you play as Damon Baird. The Engineer special ability is that he can deploy an Auto sentry. He is equipped with a gnasher shotgun for close quarter engagements. He is also equipped with a repair tool used to repair fortifications and turrets. The Engineer is a very valuable asset for your team in defending the objective.
As a Soldier, you play as Augustus Cole, also known as "The Cole Train". The Soldiers special ability is that he can deploy ammo for a short amount of time. He is equipped with Booshka, which is new to the gears franchise. The Booshka is basically the gears version of a grenade launcher. He is also equipped with a Lancer Assault Rifle. The Soldier is a great class for dealing lots of damage as well as helping out your teammates.l
As a Scout, you play as Garron Paduk. The Scout special ability is that he has the ability to spot out enemies with his beacon grenade. If an enemy is in the radius of the beacon grenade, it gives anyone on the COG side a damage boost against the enemy in the radius of the grenade. He is equipped with Markza semi auto Sniper Rifle for long range engagements. He is also equipped with a snub pistol as his backup weapon. The Scout also can get into areas where other classes cannot reach. The Scout is great at picking off enemies and great supporting his fellow teammates.
Last but not least as a Medic, you play as Sofia Hendrik. The Medics special ability is that she can deploy a Stim-Gas Grenade to help heal herself and other teammates. The Stim-Gas Grenade can also revive downed teammates. The Medic is equipped with a Lancer Assault Rifle and a sawed off shotgun for extreme close range precision. In every game of Overrun you have to have at least one Medic because they are great at supporting their teammates by healing and reviving teammates.
