Machinma, the Internet production team who recently made Mortal Kombat fan’s dream come true by reawakening the franchise, seems to be granting more wishes. Speculation of a Halo Movie has run rampant over the past two or three years with such famed directors as Steven Spielberg, Peter Jackson, and Neil Blomkamp attached—today Machinma put those rumors to rest annoucing a Halo movie. They tweeted the #halomovie and direction to four stills on their facebook homepage.

Much like the Mortal Kombat series that began with speculation of a movie, TV series, general confusion and wishful thinking, the HALO movie stands on similar ground—there are die hard fans who really want this and it is no surprise that Machinma is happy to stand up and deliver...check out the movie stills below...

"We’ve also been told that there’s more coming on Monday so I guess we’ll find out – commenters on the Facebook page have claimed the pics are from a couple of fan films already in production, but Machinima aren’t giving us any more details yet."
