Monica Rambeau may have shown up as a child in Captain Marvel, but it was in WandaVision that she really got the chance to shine and showcase her powerful abilities, making her one of the more interesting supporting characters in the series. While the trailer for The Marvels confirms that she will be a part of Carol Danvers and Kamala Khan's team-up, there is still time to wait until then.
Fans of the character who want to experience more of her light-based powers before then have their chance this month with her addition to Kabam's MARVEL Contest of Champions. For those unfamiliar with the mobile game, this means she is entering the Battleworld amongst an ever-growing line-up of heroes and villains from the Marvel Universe.
Photon's purpose may be to help Reed in his attempts to plant the World Seed, the Kree have their own plan by combating the new addition with one of their own - the Inhuman, Vox, who simply looks formidable, let alone his shining battle skills revealed in the newly released Vanishing Point trailer.
Although Photon won't be officially available until the 17th, with Vox appearing on the 31st, viewing the Vanishing Point trailer should be enough for any fans of the game to get a good idea of what the two are capable of as they battle against one another and showcase their individual fighting prowess.
You can see both characters spotlighted in the images below, with a very cool shot of the completely lit-up Photon and an image of Vox that shows how serious he is about slaying our heroes.
You will be able to tell the difference as Vox is above. Meanwhile, Monica Rambeau's Photon glows with cosmic energy below.
The brand new Vanishing Point trailer announces these two exciting additions, and we have included it alongside the synopsis at the bottom for all of those interested in seeing what the game is all about or the battle moves of each character. Reed Richards and Galan scramble to plant a World Seed on Battleworld, in the hopes that a new World Tree will produce enough planets to satiate the world-devourer's hunger. Miles above them, Nova recruits PHOTON alongside several heroes from his past to form a new Nova Corps and give Reed and Galan some support.
However, the Kree have become aware of the heroes' plan, and wish to take the newly-born World Tree for themselves. With VOX, their new super-inhuman weapon, they just might have the upper hand. Will our heroes' combined strength be enough to protect the World Tree, or will The Contest, and everything in it, be consumed by the terror that is Galactus? Find out in VANISHING POINT!
MARVEL Contest Of Champions is now available for mobile gaming and will release Photon and Vox on August 17th and 31st respectively.
