Marvel Vs Capcom 3 to be Announcement Soon?

A poster at Team Spooky leaked the complete roster for Super Street Fighter 4 back in September. Did he strike again?

Poster Henaki, at teamspooky.com has leaked that Marvel Vs Capcom 3 is in development and the announcment is forthcoming.

Henaki is the same poster that leaked entire character roster for Super Street Figher 4, so this guy has great potential for being a credible source. Apparently, he knows a guy...

In his post at http://teamspooky.com/content/?p=299, he states:

"Marvel VS Capcom 3 is getting announced in May of this year."

However, I think that the announcement might be coming sooner than that.

With Capcom's Captivate Media Summit convening in Hawaii next week, I anticipate that the announcemnt will be made then. Those summits are always good for a "nerdgasm" or three. Or at least I hope so...

I'm a big fan of the previous Marvel Vs Capcom games, and would love to see an updated roster, updated game play, graphics... the whole 9!

What do you think?

Bicho, I enjoyed those games too, as a kid. Have you played them recently? I def hope that they do some SERIOUS upgrading on the graphics and game play. Otherwise, not interested.

@ elbicho

i think i love you for finding this!!!! MvC2 is one of my top 3 favorite games of all time!!! when it was in arcades, i used to play it ALL the time and played in tournaments at my mall and college as well. and now i play it on Xbox Live. if they really are making this, then i probably won't get a chance to ever play it because i'll die of sheer joy!!!!!!

oh man...

@ mclovin

there would be no reason to create MvC3 without updating all of those things :)

@McLovin

They could release MVC1 and 2 as they are now for PS3 and I'd buy them.

I highly doubt they'd make a new one without an upgrade.

@CDB,

I'm with you, my friend.

man it would be amazing if they made it look like the new street fighter games!!!!

I was MAD PISSED that they decided to keep Tatsunoko vs Capcom on the Wii!!! I mean, who wouldn't want to play any character of Battle of the Planets or even Technoman himself versus anyone from Capcom?!?!?!? Why the [frick] did they have to keep it on the Wii where less people will buy it :(( I sure hope that MvC3 is as good if not better than MvC2 so that we at least get something worthy to play with on PS3!!! The street fighter games are awesome and all but they lack much when compared to the Capcom Vs SNK or Marvel stuff!

Sorry guys, I guess I had a "duhr" moment. But for a while there, I remember every release of these games seemed stagnant to me. They would add characters and created different backgrounds, but for the most part, it was just the same shit regurgitated our way and I got sick of it. It seemed like a cheap and convenient way to make more money without improving on the product.

McLovin- For the other games prior to MvC2, yes they were regurgitated shit. But IMO, MvC2 took it to another level. It felt slightly different. My favorites were always the Capcom vs SNK games but MvC2 almost ties them! I'm just a sucker for SNK characters ;)

@ shaman and mclovin

yeah, the previous games before MvC were the same thing over and over. but then MvC came out, and it was different. but MvC2 changed it completely. it made air combos much smoother to pull off, had over 60 characters, you could choose 3 man teams, it was much more fast paced. it improved on the others a great deal!

What up Shaman (nice avatar). That is precisely the reason I stopped playing those games. The last superhero fighting game I bought was DC vs Mortal Kombat and though it was really cool fighting as my favorite DC heroes, it still felt like the old Mortal Kombat games. After I beat the game with about half the characters, I put it away and haven't touched it since. I hope this one has a fresh take on it.

CBD - I confess that I never even gave MvC2 a fair shot. But chatting with you guys has me feeling really nostalgic and ready to give this another try!

Cool. I hope this is true.

Hopefully they use the same graphics engine as the one they used in SFIV. I'd also like to see Marvel characters like: Carnage, Silver Surfer, Havok, Protius, Warpath, Thor, Ultron, Doc Oc, maybe a Transformer or GIJOE, and Deadpool.

I just can't into these games.I wish they would make a Marvel fighter like the Budokai Tenkaichi series, with all the energy/special attacks and the open environments.

This looked promising, too bad it was canceled.

What they need to do is Marvel vs Capcom vs Tatsunoku... minus the ridiculously simple gameplay of the Wii game. I will never get to play it because I will never have a Wii and that really bugs me.

Actually they should make it so that you game switch in the options to play with either gamestyle that way it is accessible for the chumps and then the hardcores can play it the way it was meant to be played.

And make it on all system. I'm still baffled by the arrogance of some ppl to think that Americans wouldn't play it because they did not know the characters. As if that even mattered.

"That game Kenny just posted up looked cool (remember EA's Marvel Nemesis looked cool at one point.) but Im not feelin it too much. Too much being able to run away and that constant kick the person back to the other side of the world...smh

That game would get semi boring real quick just like Nemesis did"

Yeah, I think most people disliked Nemesis.My favorite fighting game is the Budokai Tenkaichi series.I've played part 3 at least once a week since 2007.If I had a Marvel or DC game just like that I would play that nonstop.
