The game director has released some details regarding the sequel to the hit game Transformers: War for Cybertron, including better AI and gameplay enhancements that without, troubled the first game.
There were some complaints over lack of ammo, environmental repetitiveness, and issues with the checkpoint system. One of those issues that is sure to be fixed though, is the ammo system. But maybe if this game has more time and detail than the first, those other problems can be resolved. See more below.

Many gamers enjoyed the cooperative portion in Transformers War for Cybertron, but High Moon Studios has decided to strike this feature in Transformers Fall of Cybertron.

"It's heartbreaking, I know," Game Director Matt "Tieg" Tieger tells IGN, "but we have a very good reason for that."

Instead of a three-character team, each character will be going solo in each board that is specifically crafted to highlight each character's unique ability, going beyond "he's a jet instead of a car," or the typical "can carry heavy weapons."

GRIMLOCK CLOSE COMBAT ONLY
Mr. Tieger reveals that Grimlock's gameplay will feature only close combat. Removing ranged combat will give the character his sword and shield only, with the added bonus of transforming into "a f---ing space T-Rex that breathes fire," he tells IGN. "You don't even have to like Transformers to love that."

BETTER ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE
As previously detailed, Fall of Cybertron will feature smarter artificial intelligence, which High Moon admits was lacking a little in its predecessor. The A.I. can be easily tricked and hence, has been rebuilt from scratch.

Enemies specifically built for character levels will throw grenades, regroup, and also snipe while on the move.

MORE AMMO
One of the most frustrating things in War for Cybertron was the lack of ammo on the levels, forcing some players to run through without ammo or dwindling supplies.

This has been treated, with more ammo being littered throughout.

TRIPLE CHANGER
Vortex, one of the playable Combaticons in the new game will be a triplechanger - a helicopter, jet, and robot - and each form will have its own array of weaponry. In an interview with GT.TV, Mr. Tieger says that the level featuring Vortex is the largest possible in the Unreal Engine.

STORY, MULTIPLAYER, AND CHARACTER CREATOR
In the story department, Fall of Cybertron will pick up immediately after the events of War for Cybertron as the Autobots fight to leave the devastated planet and the Decepticons fight to keep them there.

Mr. Tieger says that the multiplayer will be beefed up, but remains coy on revealing any ideas. However, he does reveal that the character creator will be back and rather than just the colors and gun combos like in War for Cybertron, players will be able to swap appendages and tweak designs that will make their characters something truly unique.

I actually prefered the two separate Bot/Con points of views, but I'll trust High Moon for a good story line.

This is exactly how the Transformers should be presented, unfortunately Hollywood entrusted Michael and is design team to render the crappiest bug-like designs the Earth has ever seen. I mean even Transformers: Armada had better designs and story lines, and that's pretty bad in my opinion.
