BVS Director Zack Snyder Pays Tribute To WONDER WOMAN 1984 Star Gal Gadot With New BTS Photo

With Wonder Woman 1984 now on release in several locations, director Zack Snyder has taken to Twitter to post a never-before-seen photo of star Gal Gadot on the set of 2014's Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.

The pic is from Gadot's very first day on set, and finds the actress sporting her original - and far less colorful - Wonder Woman armor.

Snyder was the one who actually cast Gadot as Diana for a brief appearance in the divisive DC Comics film before she would go on to reprise the role in Wonder Woman, Justice League, and now WW84, and shared the image as a tribute to how well she's embodied the iconic Amazon warrior over the years.

"Gal's first day on set in the costume July 2014, shot on my iPhone 6," the filmmaker captioned his post. "I knew when I cast her back in the fall of 2013 she was not just my Wonder Woman, but a Wonder Woman for the world. So proud of how she's embodied this character with love & grace."

Wonder Woman 1984 is now in cinemas in the UK and Ireland today, and will release in theatres and on HBO Max simultaneously in the US on December 25. Tell us, do you guys plan on checking it out? If so, will it be on the big screen or at home?

So it wasn't just the filter that made the costume colours look so dull
