WONDER WOMAN 1984 Honest Trailer Pulls No Punches: "I Can't Believe We Killed The Theater Industry For This"

We knew it was coming, and Screen Junkies has now released a pretty funny "Honest Trailer" for Patty Jenkins' highly divisive Wonder Woman 1984. See the DC Comics sequel dragged after the jump...

The critical response to Wonder Woman 1984 has been interesting, to say the least.

The initial social media reactions were overwhelmingly positive (not unusual), and the first round of reviews followed suit. But as more critics (ones that weren't invited to watch the film early and chat to the cast) and fans got the opportunity to see the movie, some of the more glaring issues were brought to light, and that Rotten Tomatoes score soon began to drop.

Now, Screen Junkies has shared their Honest Trailer for Patty Jenkins' divisive sequel, and it doesn't hold back on ripping into some of the film's sillier elements.

Everything from the final battle between "Goldar" and a "Jellicle Cat," the "Wish Rock Cock," and, of course, the fact that Diana uses some random dude with Steve Trevor's consciousness as a "sex toy" is covered.

It's not their funniest effort, but there's a few chuckles to be had. Check out the Honest Trailer for WW84 below.

What do you guys make of Wonder Woman 1984? Do you think this it's been unfairly blasted, or do you agree with the criticisms spotlighted above? Let us know in the comments.

Honest Trailers haven't been that good in some time but I did get some laughs out of this one. I liked WW84 when I first saw it probably because I blinded by the fact that I was seeing a major CBM release. In hindsight, it was hokey but it had its moments.

Yeah, hoping the third movie strikes a better balance between humor and more serious moments like the first film did.
