Last year, Wonder Woman actress Connie Nielsen shared a group photo on social media which led to speculation that Ann Wolfe - an eight-time world champion boxer who has famously held four titles in four different weight classes at the same time - had also been cast in the movie.

At the time many fans guessed that she'd most likely be playing Artemis, and director Patty Jenkins has now confirmed that this is indeed the case.

In the comics, Artemis started out as captain of the Queen’s Guard and even took up the mantle of Wonder Woman herself at one point. The character is currently a member of Red Hood and The Outlaws.

Wonder Woman also stars Gal Gadot, Chris Pine, Robin Wright, Lucy Davis, Lisa Loven Kongsli, Danny Huston, Elena Anaya, Ewen Bremner, Saïd Taghmaoui and David Thewlis. The next chapter in warner Bros. DC Films Universe is set to hit theaters on June 2.

@knocturnalzen10 - I for the most part agree. But I also dont think the films quality will hinge on the villain. I think a good villain can take a movie from good to great. Lot of marvel films I like had pretty mediocre villains. Same with some dc stuff.

I think it will be a huge factor but overall if its a good movie with a weak villain I would still be happy due to the negative response to most dc films. I am very excited for this though because it looks really awesome. I also think a good villain springs from the writing in general so I guess youre right in the sense if they got the villain right it will mean the story was done well in general

as great as heath and his joker was that movie was so d*mn good because of how well written it was. Heath no doubt put on a performance for the ages but that stems from just how well written that movie was. Perfect imo

@MrR0B0T - exactly my point , heath was the bench mark for me over most villian's if not all especially in cbm's. but jonathan nolan did a hell of a job conveying the story properly an showing the escalation factor of batman's world. i want ares to show an teach diane in this as well , one of my points of hoping the villain is done well. i.s loki in av was done so well he makes you wonder is the av are really the good guys at certain points ...........i have so much faith in this film for reason . just want it to be epic . yes it's asking for alot but at this point from what we've received from dc , we're damn due !!!!! it's sad when clark giving a columbia neck tie for W is the highlight of the dcu :/

I really liked the second trailer... Gal Gadot's acting seemed much better than the first one. Looks pretty cool, I'll be seeing this in theaters for sure.
