Wonder Woman Movie Buzz Starting Again?

Wonder Woman movie possibly hitting theaters 2013? Hit the jump to find out!

A rumor is going the rounds at the moment, telling us that a source “close to Warner Bros” is claiming that a Wonder Woman movie is being developed for a potential 2013 release.

Hot on the heels of a failed attempt at a television series, an attempt to make a Wonder Woman movie might not seem like the best idea available.

Granted; this is still very far from being anything more than pure conjecture and rumor, but the simple fact that it got this far indicates that there is some serious interest here. The overall failure of Green Lantern and the lukewarm anticipation for Superman: Man of Steel should indicate that DC is doing something wrong here and that maybe the right answer isn’t to launch yet another movie following a single superhero. Maybe they’re better off moving ahead with Justice League next, following the grand finale that Christopher Nolan is bringing to the Batman saga next year.

Also, this brings up the question of who we’d like to see play Wonder Woman. There were a couple of discussions about this about two weeks ago, as Christina Hendricks had been pegged by director Nicolas Winding Refn as the ideal candidate to take on the role. Apparently, the suggestion sits well with Hendricks, who has been eager to tell the world about her love of the character. Last year, as she was on Rachel Ray, she even admitted to wearing “Wonder Woman underoos”.

THABATMAN- Will They ever get a Wonder Woman movie up and running?

That "TV Show" version of WW failed because it's casting and story had the quality of horse crap. A legit Wonder Woman movie with a solid cast, with someone who actually looks and sounds like Wonder Woman, and a solid story, one that actually stays true to WW and doesn't make her a business tycoon making dolls of herself (seriously what was that about???) and spends time in Themyscira, then it could be really great.

My pick is still Bridget Regan.

29 years old, 5'9(with heels 5'10-5'11) works good since Cavill is 6'1.

FOR GOD SAKES PEOPLE
WONDER WOMAN NEEDS BEEEEEEEEEWWWWWWWBS. . .
Stop posting and suggesting these flat chested, girly women.
She's rugged and full figured (referring to curves and not fat). The type of woman who knows she can kick any guys ass.
AND BEWBS!

One more time-What "lukewarm anticpation" to the MOS. From what I can tell there is as much anticipation as can be expected for Superman's return (not to be confused with Supmerman Returns)to the big screen.
