WONDER WOMAN 1984: Gal Gadot's Diana Returns In The Action-Packed First Trailer

The first trailer for Wonder Woman 1984 is now online, and it should make fans of the iconic DC heroine very happy indeed.

The footage begins with Diana (Gal Gadot) talking to Barbra Minerva (Kristin Wiig) about past loves, and after a quick monologue from Maxwell Lord (Pedro Pascal), the Amazon warrior is reunited with Steve Trevor (Chris Pine). Although it's not clear how, exactly, the trailer does strongly suggest that Lord was somehow able to bring Trevor back from the dead - but only for what will likely be a steep price!

Some impressive shots of Diana and Steve in action follow, and the trailer finishes with a glimpse of Wonder Woman sporting her full Golden Eagle armor. There's no sign of Minerva as Cheetah, unfortunatly, but it is also implied that Lord may be involved in her eventual transformation.

Check out the trailer below and let us know what you think in the usual place.

Fast forward to the 1980s as Wonder Woman’s next big screen adventure finds her facing an all-new foe: The Cheetah. Principal photography is underway on Warner Bros. Pictures’ follow up to the Super Hero’s first outing, last summer’s record-breaking “Wonder Woman,” which took in $822 million at the worldwide box office. “Wonder Woman 1984” will also be helmed by acclaimed director Patty Jenkins, and star Gal Gadot in the title role.

Wonder Woman 1984 hits theaters on June 5, 2020.

Question of the day:

Will they address where Wonder Woman was during the events of Man of Steel?

Considering she’s been doing superhero business since way before then and the folks at Man of Steel had no idea that super powered folks existed while Zod was threatening the whole globe.

Visually looks really good, but if even half of the leaks are true not sure how I feel about the actual story. Will see if opening weekend either way though lol

@Armageddon26 - Very fun trailer. Kinda wish it went even more 80's. But, yeah, it seems the leaked plot might be fairly accurate. It should still be a blast either way. It's all in the execution.

@Armageddon26 - the people complained about the leaks for Deadpool 2. It turned out - all the leaks were TRUE. And yet, DP2 scored all the high scores and 83% on RT.

I'm starting to think cbm fans became pretty unreasonable lately.

This feels almost like they deliberately set it in the 80's because they missed out on making a Wondie film in the 80's.
But this does look like good fun. The golden eagle armour a little goofy... but it can't be that bad.

Patty can have a Superman film. Do it WB. Get her a dope screenwriter and let her go to work.

The look of this film is what I want for Supes film. The color and the vibrancy. The first Wonder Woman was directed with such a deft hand and it looks to be the same here.
