With a release date set for late next year, 20th Century Fox's Gambit movie is currently gearing up for production in New Orleans and under the working title... Chess. Now according to Showbiz411, the X-Men spin-off is not only set to commence principal photography in October, but it's also looking to fill a number of supporting roles right now. The source notes that each of the roles in the following casting call includes a deal for future sequels, which has oddly led some to believe that Channing Tatum's Remy LeBeau will replace Huge Jackman's Wolverine as Fox's leading mutant.

Louis– Male, any ethnicity, 40s-50s. Elegant and intelligent. An appealing entrepreneur with an unexpected dark side.

Vera– Female, any ethnicity, mid 20s – early 30s. Beautiful, smart, tough, fiery and unpredictable.

Wes– Male, any ethnicity, mid 20s – mid 30s. Aspirational but weak minded. Soulful and sensitive.

Fritz– Male, any ethnicity, 40s – 50s. A professional thief. Charismatic con-artist. Warm hearted but untrustworthy.

Nash– Male, any ethnicity, mid 20s – early 30s. A potent threat. Heir to his mother’s business. Malevolent.

Willhelm– Male, any ethnicity, 30s. Dangerous street criminal. Protective and loyal to his family. Intensely loyal and violent.

Gary– Male, any ethnicity, mid 20s – early 30s. A little simple; dim-witted and passive.

Nonna—Female, any ethnicity, mid 20s – 30 years old. Uptight, corporate, vicious, sexual.

Joe– Male, any ethnicity, 30s. He’s a gun for hire. He is the black sheep of his family. Not from good breeding but from a working class family.

Ben–Male, any ethnicity, 20s. Just reaching adulthood. A street kid, a disaffected outsider, an orphan.

Boris–Male, Hispanic, 20s. Charming, handsome, and dangerous..

Clarissa– Female, mixed race, 10 – 12 years old. Ethereal and other worldly. Very expressive.

Wolfgang– Male, authentic French, 40s. A French criminal. Must speak fluent French.

Howard– Male, Caucasian. 50s. A refined European mobster who speaks fluent French.

More than likely, the names listed in the casting call above are just ruses for actual characters or even other mutants from the Marvel Comics. Anyhow, check the source for additional info. Directed by Rupert Wyatt while starring Channing Tatum, Gambit is set to open on October 7, 2016.

Definitely fake names. I wonder if they will do a version of the Marauders getting massacred in this movie. If I remember correctly a few members were part of the Thieves Guild.

Totally irrelevant but Channing Tatum should've been Booster Gold with Jonah Hill as Kord. Can you guess who I'd want the filmmakers to be?

Bella Donna and Emma Frost?

Vera also sounds like Rogue, but I think don't she will feature in the movie. Maybe Rogue will appear in the post-credits scene though.

Lol, I don't think autism is something that can just be triggered.

If they use Rogue it better not be Anna, I dont like her as Rogue. Rogue is supposed to be southern and a badass like she was in the 90s cartoon. I havent seen a trace of that in the movies, and then putting her with Bobby wtf. I dont want Fox to just bring in Anna again and make her Rogue like the Rogue is in the comics. I say bring in a new actress and give us the REAL Rogue from the jump.

This movie will have nothing to do with any marvel characters or x-men. It will be so far from the source material it will be unrecognizable. Think Deadpool in wolverine origins or.... Gambit in wolverine origins....

@SuperCat A Justin Wilson Cajun Chef meme? Are you fvcking kidding me? That's awesome! My grandfather and I used to watch his show when I was little. Brings up some great memories man. Thanks! Would be cool if they had someone play him in the film as a diner owner or something. That dude was great. was always drinking wine and measuring ingredients in his hand.

I'm still skeptical about xmen movies. Days of FP was just ok. I wanna see the franchise start to look more like the source material which it really hasn't done yet. I also don't like how they just use characters who have great stories but only use them once
