Preview Of The 'Take That' Song Set To Be Featured In X-Men: First Class!

Hit the jump to listen to a 30 second sneak preview of the latest song by the British boyband which will for some reason feature in the upcoming movie set in the 1960's...

X-Men: First Class charts the epic beginning of the X-Men saga, and reveals a secret history of famous global events. Before mutants had revealed themselves to the world, and before Charles Xavier and Erik Lensherr took the names Professor X and Magneto, they were two young men discovering their powers for the first time. Not archenemies, they were instead at first the closest of friends, working together with other Mutants (some familiar, some new), to stop Armageddon. In the process, a grave rift between them opened, which began the eternal war between Magneto's Brotherhood and Professor X’s X-Men.

Many thanks to The Playlist for the following. While it seems like an extremely strange choice to include this modern day song in a movie which is set in the 1960's, it's believed that it will in fact be played during the credits. So here's hoping that there won't be an after-credits scene to stick around for!

X-Men: First Class is set to be released in the UK on June 1st and in the US on June 2nd.

So much great music came out of the 60's, and they choose to go with this? What the frak are they thinking? Excuse me while I go bleach my ear drums.

Horrible song. If that was the case, they should've gone with WHAM!

Jesus Christ! Did I get butt[frick]ed? That song they did in "Stardust" was pretty good, but this one is a nightmare. Who bets X-Men: FC does bad because of this bubble gum clusterfrick?

I'll listen to the Iron Maiden song that ELgUaSoN provided to remove this shit from my head.

On the plus side it'll probably only play out the credits after a reprisal of the orchestral score......I hope...

Oh god! I like Take That but this song does fit the movie at all!! Pick a [frick]ing song from the 60's like

The Rolling Stones

or even The Beatles!

I think for all we know, they might just use the beat (audio) of the song w/o the lyrics. The song is not bad it's the audio that counts.

sounds like an awsome song but for x-men????in the 60's?????if it is in the credits it wont matter so much but still

Maybe they were too tightfisted to pay out any royalties for music from the 60s. Cheap a$$ film!

just when it seems the movie might have something good about it, they throw another poor decision in our faces, bringing us back to reality...

My god that was awful. It sure doesn't sound like a song you would expect from an action movie.

Sounds like typical British music, about as good as the food.

Hi all new to here and first comment ever!

SPOILER ALERT: You guys have taken this song out of context. The way it fits into the movies is as follows….The Take That song is realised in 'the not to distant future' Cable (who is played in the movie by Tom Selleck) hears it and decides it's a much bigger threat to the future than Apocalypse!

So he travels back in time armed with a wig and new legs for Xavier…sorry..for Charles, and in the back ground helps shape a new First Class of X men who's sole purpose for existence is to learn to deal with their mutant abilities and become a deadly assassination force that will take out Take That before they ever realise a single….

result the whole continuity of the X-universe is FUBAR, but a least we can sleep in our beds knowing that Take That are no more…phew!

That song is bullshit! I would prefer The Beatles-Helter Seeker instead of that song.
