Many thanks to IGN Movies who conducted the interview at the Kapow! Comic Con on Saturday for the following video interview.



"I think he's a great character, and I don't want to go dangerous ground here, but I'd say he's more interesting to me than Batman. I think they've made a very successful run of films with that and I think a good Wolverine film could be an amazing thing."

"He's got a sense of humour and he's gruff. And he's kind of pissed off at everyone. I like that."


When the interviewer asked the audience in the IGN Arena whether they'd like to see Jones direct The Wolverine, the response was a loud cheer. (which was obviously what I heard when I was standing on the opposite side of the arena in line for the Green Lantern panel!)

I would actually like it if this guy took over this movie. He is young and still looking to make a name for himself.

Also, I saw Source Code last weekend and really enjoyed it, plus I love some of the techniques he used to get certain reactions from Jake in that movie. His techniques with actors are unconventional but really interesting. I think he could do some great things with this movie.

Well wolverine is an interesting character. I don't know if he's more interesting than Bats, but he can def kick the shit out of Batman.

He's a nobody? If chosen, he'll probably make a better Wolvie film than Hood's effort. I mean, it's not like Marvel's gonna get Scorsese or the Coen Bros to direct Wolverine, so I don't mind if this guy gets the job. Moon was a cool movie.

His only thoughts on the Wolverine character is that he has a sense of humor, he's gruff, and he's pissed off at everyone. Seeing as how Wolverine...like The Batman character are so complex, I'd hoped he'd have a little more to say other than he's funny, rough, and mad at everyone.

And while i think Jackmen is a superb actor, I kinda want someone else to have a go at wolverine, But he's fine tho.

My main problem is that there has been 4 movies with wolverine in it and i still aint even seen a refrences to his Yellow and blue costume >:P

@Nomis same can be said about the punisher...

I think wolverine has more depth than batman imo. All we hear about bruce is how miserable he is because of the death of his parents, while wolverine has more past than even he can remember, involving lots of people and places, losses and good times.

He's always angry too, which is cool. Batman is just in a constant bad mood. hahahah

Duncan Jones is a great choice. He can do much better on his own stuff. I hope he does it though, Moon is one of the best movies.
