It seems that fan prayers have come true with the age rating for the full trailer of THE WOLVERINE turning out to be rated a 15! In most cases, this is the UK equivalent of a US R rating.

What are films rated 15 for I hear you ask? Well here's a list of answers:

-strong violence
-frequent strong language (eg 'f***').
-portrayals of sexual activity
-strong verbal references to sex
-sexual nudity
-brief scenes of sexual violence or verbal references to sexual violence
-discriminatory language or behavior
-drug taking

Yeah Die Hard 5 was rated R or 15 and it was so [frick]ing awesome...NOT! rating doesn't really matter unless the movie itself is any good. So don't start wanking yet as much I love the idea of R-Rated(or 15 for us [frick]ing awesome Brit) its Fox they cut the rating down for most international markets for Die Hard 5 like a week before. So like I said just wait a little before you blow your load.

@tazmaniak

That isn't a list of what is in the film, just what qualifies to be rated a 15

I really hope so. Wolverine is very held back due to the fact he's popular with kids. Things like the x-men origins wolverine game, and the hulk vs wolverine animated movie are the only times I can think of off the top of my head where wolverine has been let loose in something outside the comics.

Since the trailers 15 I am guessing there going to have another trailer thats going to play in front of G.I Joe since thats a 12a here in the UK don't know what rating it is in the US, wouldn't be completely surprised if Paramount pulled a Fox and cut the rating to 12a so it could make more money, because look at Die Hard 5 it set the international box office on FIRE!.

I maybe the minority, but I prefer a pg-13 superhero movie. Not everything has to be so dark and disturbing to be entertaining. Now I am not opposed to rated R movies just this genre.

@Hellsing

Paramount? If you're talking about The Wolverine, I think you mean FOX.

Talking about G.I Joe 2 which is being distributed by Paramount I was just wondering if the rating was similar to Die Hard 5(owned by Fox) which was a 12a in the UK but an R in the US if I remember correctly. So don't worry I didn't mix up my studios so you can rest in peace.

Good. I hope it makes a shitload of money, so that at Hollywood can stop being so trepadatious all the time.

Tried to spread a little Nerd insight with the X Men's Facebook page fans.

They were more interested with Jackman's torso.
