Had Marvel Studios delivered its normal Hall H panel at San Diego Comic-Con, we'd have likely seen a lot of trailers and news do the round online yesterday afternoon.
Instead, we got...well, nothing.
Plenty of other companies have attended the annual event, however, including Hasbro. They brought a tonne of new action figures to the show floor, including a Marvel Legends wave based on the lead characters in X-Men '97.
The packaging is adorned with new promo art, meaning we get a closer look at Wolverine, Storm, Rogue, and new team members Bishop and Magneto (who will put his villainous ways behind him to help lead these mutant superheroes in the wake of Professor X's disappearance).
Rogue is a character many fans are particularly excited to see take centre stage again, and X-Men '97 showrunner Beau DeMayo previously weighed in on how intends to portray her powers in the X-Men: The Animated Series follow-up.
"I am aware that Rogue learned to control her powers, and I have mixed feelings on the shift," he admitted. "However, trust me when I say Rogue fans have plenty to be stoked about...in no small part due to [Supervising Producer] Charley Feldman being a massive advocate for her character."
We recently got confirmation that X-Men '97 is getting a second season, so there should be plenty of time to flesh out Rogue and the many other characters featured here.
