I bet that if a Marvel/Fox deal happens, which is unlikely, he'd come back, or would want to. Although, I'd prefer a new actor.

I will say out of all the Xmen cast Hughe, Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellen seem like they put the most into their characters. and I'm well aware they have been the main focus of the first 3 films especially Hughe... He's not the exact rugged canadian killer from the comics but he did a decent job bring the character to life...
I hope he makes a cameo in Deadpool and Apocalypse.

If it's still Old Man Logan, then I wouldn't mind seeing Yukio return to replace Hawkeye. Even though The Wolverine is no longer canon, it would give the two films a little fluidity.

I know a lot of people say that Cyclops would be the obvious substitute for Hawkeye, because he's the eye guy and being blind is to do with the eyes...
But really, just think about that for a second.
That's doesn't make it a good idea. That actually makes it a very bad idea.

A blind Cyclops would be about as much use as a brain-dead Xavier.

Yukio would work, though.

They're going to probably mix the story elements from Death of Wolverine and Old Man Logan. It's good to hear that he has a fill script though. REALLY hoping that we get him in the suit just once. (Spoilers) If anyone's read Old Man Logan, they'd remember the part when he dons the Iron Man suit to escape from out of Red Skull's headquarters. They should just have Hugh place on his classic costume that was teased in The Wolverine (or better)

every time i see him or hear this shit...i cry sooo much inside because in an alternate, better universe - wolverine is an avenger, him and cap have history, him and hulk have the most brutal fights and marvel studios has the xmen - oh god the beauty is too much to bare.

Also, I reckon they're gonna save the costume as a selling point to help whatever poor soul has to follow Hugh. So I don't think it'll be in this movie.

But if they do include a comic-book costume, then I would most certainly go for the brown John Byrne version.
