Despite the mixed reception to X-Men: Apocalypse, it's safe to say that Bryan Singer and his team outdid themselves with Quicksilver, crafting a scene that one-upped the character's original appearance in Days Of Future Past. Highlights of the scene featuring the speedy mutant rescuing the inhabitants of Xavier's School For Gifted Youngsters have now made their way online in the form of a new TV spot, which you can watch below. Did you enjoy Quicksilver's standout moment? Sound off below!

Since the dawn of civilization, he was worshiped as a god. Apocalypse, the first and most powerful mutant from Marvel’s X-Men universe, amassed the powers of many other mutants, becoming immortal and invincible. Upon awakening after thousands of years, he is disillusioned with the world as he finds it and recruits a team of powerful mutants, including a disheartened Magneto (Michael Fassbender), to cleanse mankind and create a new world order, over which he will reign. As the fate of the Earth hangs in the balance, Raven (Jennifer Lawrence) with the help of Professor X (James McAvoy) must lead a team of young X-Men to stop their greatest nemesis and save mankind from complete destruction.

@Magus - Hahaha, it isn't the full scene, just a spot, I edited the title.

@Doomsday8888 - It's all too much though. The guy stops time here and is still moving hypersonic with time slowed to a stop. This is Flash.

@Magus - No. He's moving fast, then just speeds up. That's why you see the skin on his face rippling. It's because he's running at max speed. It would be like you jogging past a statue. When you start sprinting, the statue is still going to be frozen. If you got in a car, the statue stays the same, just blurrier. I could still just get on a bullet train and go even faster. Even still, I could get on a plane and go yet faster. We could all board the starship Enterprise and go to warp and, really, what would you expect to change? Time can't get more frozen than frozen.

He does this same thing in DOFP. And, yes, that does pretty much make him unbeatable. There really isn't any reason Apocalypse should've been able to break his leg, when he can't move fast enough. But for sake of plot...

Great scene? It was a rehash of his same scene in days of future past.

Evan Peters' Quicksilver is a fun character, but he's way too powerful to not solve every problem all by himself, and he's also not really Quicksilver. He's just a generic Mercurial speedster with a generic Mercurial attitude.
