Keanu Reeves makes an explosive return to action-adventure in 47 Ronin. After a treacherous warlord kills their master and banishes their kind, 47 leaderless samurai vow to seek vengeance and restore honor to their people. Driven from their homes and dispersed across the land, this band of Ronin must seek the help of Kai (Reeves)—a half-breed they once rejected—as they fight their way across a savage world of mythic beasts, shape-shifting witchcraft and wondrous terrors. As this exiled, enslaved outcast becomes their most deadly weapon, he will transform into the hero who inspires this band of outnumbered rebels to seize eternity.

47 RONIN was directed by Carl Rinsch, from a screenplay written by Chris Morgan and Hossein Amini. The cast includes: Keanu Reeves, Hiroyuki Sanada, Tadanobu Asano, Rinko Kikuchi and Ko Shibasaki. The film will be released on December 25, 2013. Merry Christmas, dude!

For some reason, I thought Guillermo Del Toro had some affiliation with this film. The designs look pretty dope. Heard the film itself was one of the biggest flops of 2013. It even was nominated for Worst Picture for the Raspberries.

One of those films critics love to hate. Could've been better, but definitely not as bad as reviews made it seem.

Haven't seen it yet. If I like it, my girlfriend will hate it, and if I hate it.. she'll probably like it.

The great cosmic balance.

The only reason I know what a "Ronin" is because of "the Wolverine".

The movie was better then it was made out to be. It was not great. But a lot of it had to do with the changes Universal wanted. I would have liked to see what Carl Rinsch could have done on his own without all the extra input from the studio. I would enjoy seeing what he could do with either the world of DC or Marvel. He is an underrated director. So it sucks to see the film doing bad. Because if it was doing a lot better he would become more known.

It was good but action scenes where rare and very short. And that's my only problem with the film.

I read a review of first draft of the script and it was better.
