Boondock Saints might be coming to TV?!

With Troy Duffy wrapping up his run of Boondock Saint comics, it looks like we will be getting Boondock Saints III... but possibly as a Television Series!?

With Troy Duffy wrapping up his run of Boondock Saint comics, it looks like we will be getting Boondock Saints III... but not the way we thought.

Matt over at WeGotThisCovered.com released an article that comfirms some of the rumors about there being a Boondock Saints Television show.

During and interview about the 10th anniversary Blu-Ray "Truth and Justice Edition" of the original film Matt asked Troy Duffy about the plans for Boondock Saints 3. This is what Troy had to say:

“We’ve been approached to do a possible Boondock Saints TV series. So the fans may be getting a part 3 as a television show. We might be able to pull that off….I actually called both Sean and Norman and they both said “hell yeah, we’ll drop everything.”

He went on to say that this would be an HBO or AMC type of show "allowing Duffy to portray the violence and language that fans have come to expect"

With Sean Patrick Flanery (SAW VII, Powder, etc...) and Norman Reedus (Blade II, Walking Dead, etc...) excited about the possible project what does this mean for Reedus' involvement in Walking Dead and will any of the other characters that we've grown to love be involved?

Who knows... only time will tell I guess.
