Paramount have named a release date for it's adaptation of the novel World War Z. It's to hit theaters four days before Christmas, Dec. 21, 2012. This happens to be the date that Disney will release The Lone Ranger And both movies will have competition from Fox as former Spider-Man Tobey Maguire will star in Life Of Pi around the same time.
Brad Pitt heads up the cast of
World War Z, an adaptation of Max Brook’s novel "World War Z: An Oral History of the Zombie War" which also stars
Lost's Mathew Fox.
The Lone Ranger stars Johnny Depp as Tonto and Armie Hammer as the titular Western hero.
Here is a short synopsis for
WWZ which we haven't previously been covering too much..
“Story revolves around United Nations employee Gerry Lane (Pitt), who traverses the world in a race against time to stop the Zombie pandemic that is toppling armies and governments and threatening to decimate humanity itself.”
So which of these huge movies most tickles your fancy? Will you be more loyal to
The Lone Ranger which has had it's fair share of comic adaptations, or
WWZ which, lets face it, most likely will have one before the film's release?
