Is Unbreakable 2 Being Made Under Our Noses?

M. Night Shyamalan's new mystery film stars Bruce Willis and sounds like it 'might' indeed be a sequel to Unbreakable

Shyamalan has been shopping around a mysterious new film/script that Bruce Willis, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Bradley Cooper are all attached. The unnamed film's premise has Cooper playing a father that is searching for his missing child and makes use of supernatural powers in order to assist with the search. Now - is Cooper the one with powers? Does he hire someone else with powers to aid in the search? Is this Unbreakable 2? Samuel L Jackson isn't mentioned here - but if this is the sequel we're all awaiting, perhaps his announcement may be too revealing in what this 'mystery' film really is.

We don't know for sure, but Shyamalan is going to direct. Bruce Willis did say he spoke with Shyamalan earlier this year about revisiting the cult classic Unbreakable. What do you think?

As much as I would love to see it, I doubt its a sequel. Still, M Night S has always said that he wishes he had made a sequel so who knows. The whole supernatural powers to find hi son thing doesn't really tie sin with a dude that can't be injured. But lets hope!

I'm just glad that Shamalakalakaboomboom has stopped smelling his own farts and is now focussing on quality film making!!! He seems to have redeemed himself with Last Airbender and if this is true, he'll completely have switched back to my good graces :))

I did not know this movie was about comic books when I went to see it in theaters and freaked out about how awesome it was when I realized it. The girl I took to it was not impressed. BROOMED. Married a girl with better taste.

Would love for this to be true.

As long as it's not The Happening 2, we can be cautiously optimistic

Am I the only one that not only didn't like Unbreakable, but thought it was one of the wort movies ever made? Why is everyone whispering?! Why is water the weakness of everything in M Night's films? I hope M Night doesn't make a sequel... or any other movie.

I get what you're saying Angry, the water thing makes sense with Unbreakable as opposed to Signs where it made zero sense and the movie was a rip off War of the Worlds.

He may be a good director, but writing, not so much.

I loved the first movie but it really doesnt need a sequel IMO! Like Avatar, it's a movie that works better as a standalone classic rather than milking it with a sequel that fails to live up to it's predecessor! If it's done properly though, I'm all for it! Nice find Keven! :)

Gotta say I agree with JoshW. I think the first film is an outstanding, stand alone piece of work. I really feel Shyamalan didn't get enough credit for the film being equally as good, if not better(from a CBM nerd's point of view) than The Sixth Sense. The only way to make this happen would be to tr[uly continue following the story's human elements of discovery/discovering his powers, how to deal with them, and how to use them. To introduce other characters with powers would be a waste of time and just make it another typical CBM. The story of David Dunn has great potential, but the potential can go either way. As for Airbender, as amazing as it looks, I have a bad feeling that the movie could get dragged down by Shyamalan's tendency of using dull, slow, and dry dialogue, and cheesy acting at times. Still hoping for the best, but we've seen him throw out a couple shit bombs his last few films...

It's not a sequel to Unbreakable. He's shopping the script around to studios. If it were the sequel, he would just take it to Disney, since they own the rights to Unbreakable.
