Hot off directing Blade Runner 2049, Denis Villeneuve's name has come up in connection with Bond 25. The rumor is that Daniel Craig is very interested in having Villeneueve direct the next James Bond outing. Although this is a rumor, Denis Villeneueve did take the time to give this intriguing response to the rumor during an interview: “I cannot talk about that. But let’s say that for me to do a Bond movie would be a deep, deep pleasure.”

It's interesting to note that he says, "I cannot talk about that..." instead of just saying he doesn't want to talk about it. Based on that particular response, he is almost implying that he has already talked with the proper people about directing Bond 25, but is not allowed to disclose any information. As great as it would be to have an acclaimed director such as Denis Villeneuve helm a Bond film, it may not happen anytime soon due to his already full schedule.

This man can direct the sequel to My Little Pony and i'd go see it. Him doing Bond would be perfect and amazing, everything he touches turns to gold. Arguably the best director working today.

At this point with the streak he's had, I think if he would want it, it'd be his.

Yes, No. 1 choice. This man can do no wrong atm. From (his english language films) Prisoners to Blade Runner, this is one of the most amazing streaks of quality and success in a long time. Spectacular filmmaker

While im excited for this I ultimately dont care as much as I do about the reboot afterwards. I hope we get

Actor- Henry Cavill (could easily go Idris Elba too)
Director- Christopher Nolan
Writer- Jonathan Nolan
Cinematographer- Hoyte Van Hoytema

Im far from a full on Nolanite especially where it comes to Batman but the guy seems like he would do something incredible with the franchise

Anything this man does next, and everything he’s done before for the matter, should be paid attention to.
