Director Sheldon Lettich has revealed that Jean-Claude Van Damme wants to join Stallone's action sequel, The Expendables 2, but under one condition: No Steven Seagal!

Here is what he said:

"JC seems to be leaning towards appearing in the sequel, as far as I know... if Steven Seagal is not in [it]. From what I've heard it, [Steven Seagal] won't be, not because of Sly, but because of producer Avi Lerner, who had a few bad experiences with Steven...."

Expendables wasnt that good, but I have hope for the sequal now that JCVD may be on board. And Steven Segal is known to be a notorious douche nozzle...Im sure there are many more producers that have had bad experiences with Steven.

I was actually REALLY surprised he turned down the first movie, it would have possibly brought him back to stardom. My guess was, he was to play the part Statham ended up playing. Anyway, GREAT to hear he will be in the sequel! :-)

seagal would kick the sh!t outta van damme any day of the week! jean claud jus hates on him cus they had an altercation at stallones house one time an seagal called him out on not bein a real martial artist on tv!..in there prime..seagal woulda killed that retard! :)

not 2 mention JCVD turned down the 1st expandables 2 make a movie about himself (that sucked)...now thats an ego!

In an interview with MTV, Jean-Claude Van Damme revealed that back in his heyday, and that of a certain ponytailed one, he and Steven Seagal were supposed to star in the Warner Bros. action flick “Demolition Man”, which as we all know, starred Sylvester Stallone as a cop chasing psychopathic killer Wesley Snipes. According to Van Damme, he was supposed to play the Snipes role, while Seagal, because of his association with Warner at the time, would be playing the Stallone/good guy role.

you gotta love this guy, he didnt want to do the first movie because he thought it was a joke and low and behold the movie does good, and what a shock he wants to do the sequel. Screw the fight between him and Seagal, didn't he get his ass beat a few yrs back at scores in NYC by the hell's angels leader Chuck Zito.
