Another member of Ethan Hunt's all-star Ghost Protocol team is coming back for more in 2015's Mission: Impossible 5. In an interview with https://tv.yahoo.com/blogs/yahoo-tv/jeremy-renner-talks-narrating--the-world-wars---guest-starring-on--louie---and-flipping-homes-231619713.html" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Yahoo, Avengers star Jeremy Renner, who played William Brandt in Ghost Protocol, more or less confirmed his return in the fifth installment of the high octane franchise. When answering a question about whether or not he'd be interested in starring in Season 2 of HBO's True Detective, he answered:

It's kind of unlikely. In fact, I'm kind of strapped time-wise doing Avengers 2, and Mission: Impossible 5 is rearing its head, and then they want to do another Bourne movie. It's unlikely I can find the time right now. And that's all right. It's just really high-class problems — pretty awesome to have. Even if I really wanted to do it, which I don't, I couldn't.

It had been long rumored that he would be back, but this is the first official confirmation from him.

Christopher McQuarrie is set to direct with superstar Tom Cruise set to return. Simon Pegg will be joining him & now Jeremy Renner's back on board. The only cast member from the Ghost Protocol team that remains is Paula Patton

Mission: Impossible 5 is expected to hit theaters December 25, 2015.

I hope the movie is aesthetically similar to and continues the story from MI3 and 4. Would complete a nice little trilogy. And Michael Giacchino's music is a must.

They had Jeremy Renner on the phone and didn't even try to squeeze a little Avengers info out of him? What a bunch of yahoos.

I was pleasantly surprised how good Ghost Protocol turned out.
Looking forward to the next one. I'll catch it in the theater this time.

Had high hopes but was disgusted by Ghost Protocol. Maybe it was because I watched Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy the week before. THAT is a spy movie done right.

Ghost Protocol was the best one so far and really started to make me like Tom Cruise again

Really liked Edge of Tomorrow and Jack Reacher's 1st 2/3s though!

Ghost Protocol was a fantastic film. Really had your adrenaline rushing and kept you entertained the whole time. Renner was an excellent addition and I'm glad he's returning. Now all I need is confirmation for Pegg to return, as for Patton, her character was rather dull to me so I could care less

Really didn't care for him in MI:4, I would love to see more of Simon Pegg on MI:5 though.

The chase scene in Ghost Protocol is one of the best chase scenes ever made.

3 is my favorite and Ghost Protocol is my least favorite. I absolutely hated it. I like 2 better....that's right, 2!

Even though it had its faults I really enjoyed Ghost Protocol. I think Pegg and Renner work really well together and with the two of them on board I am definitely looking forward to the next one. I wouldn't want it to be without Cruise, but he isn't enough on his own for me.

All the Mission Impossible films blow ass, but 'Ghost Protocol' takes the cake for worst in the franchise.

while I like Jeremy renner wouldn't it be better to get different people like in the other movies and in the show it was always a different team

Unless we already know that since the American Hustle promo tour, but no one gives a [frick] about what Renner does when he's not making blockbusters.....

Why would you not want to do True Detective?!

True Detective is the sh!t! Renner would have done it if his schedule allowed and upon further review, his addition would jumpstart what doesn't need to be!

It's nice to hypothesize hypotheticals that are all positive for a change. The Oviedo Marketplace has a Ben and Jerries in the mall and a mere 20 ft. from that stand, they have another autonomous B&J stand.
