Another member of Ethan Hunt's all-star Ghost Protocol team is coming back for more in 2015's Mission: Impossible 5. In an interview with https://tv.yahoo.com/blogs/yahoo-tv/jeremy-renner-talks-narrating--the-world-wars---guest-starring-on--louie---and-flipping-homes-231619713.html" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Yahoo, Avengers star Jeremy Renner, who played William Brandt in Ghost Protocol, more or less confirmed his return in the fifth installment of the high octane franchise. When answering a question about whether or not he'd be interested in starring in Season 2 of HBO's True Detective, he answered:

It's kind of unlikely. In fact, I'm kind of strapped time-wise doing Avengers 2, and Mission: Impossible 5 is rearing its head, and then they want to do another Bourne movie. It's unlikely I can find the time right now. And that's all right. It's just really high-class problems — pretty awesome to have. Even if I really wanted to do it, which I don't, I couldn't.

It had been long rumored that he would be back, but this is the first official confirmation from him.

Christopher McQuarrie is set to direct with superstar Tom Cruise set to return. Simon Pegg will be joining him & now Jeremy Renner's back on board. The only cast member from the Ghost Protocol team that remains is Paula Patton

Mission: Impossible 5 is expected to hit theaters December 25, 2015.
