Directed by Zack Snyder (300, Watchmen), Sucker Punch is a mash-up of sci-fi, horror, fantasy and action movie genres. It tells the story of a group of young women confined to a psychiatric facility who find that escaping into a fantasy world of their own creation may help them solve their real-world problems. Emily Browning, Abbie Cornish, Jamie Chung, Carla Gugino, Jena Malone and Vanessa Hudgens star.

i can't wait for this movie,some of those stills would make fantastic wallpapers.

zack snyder make frank millers the dark knight returns & the dark knight strikes back next that would epic.

i want to see zack snyder do a marvel film,maybe the daredevil reboot or a punisher movie.

They will not be releasing this movie in 3D. Zack confirmed. Also, the cgi is intentional. She creates a metaphorical world of fantasy and surrealism in her head to help herself mentally battle the issues she deals with in the insane asylym. as she fights her way out of there, she fights her way through this world. also, the costumes are designed not only for sex appeal, but as satirical representations of how the personalities of each girl are displayed.

i thought he did a great job of adapting watchmen,i agree it did have an unnecessary sex scene & the violence was turned up a bit.

but i think it would be in top three best comic to screen adaptations ever!

Matowar - The trailer alone has dragons battling WW2 planes, giant samurai with gatling guns, impossible aerial acrobatics during sword fights and bizarre other planetary back drops and what you find hard to believe are the outfits they are wearing? You need to realize when to suspend disbelief.

Also, this looks awesome, definitely IMAX multiple times. Hard to believe blondie samurai girl is the brunette from Lemony Snicket.

JerusalemJr - The reason I ask about the outfits is because that is the most ridiculous part of the movie. The movie takes place in the girls minds right? So it is conceivable that dragons and samurais could be walking around but women (in general) do not imagine themselves in tight little school girl outfits. This is obviously a mans fantasy not a woman's inner thoughts which is contrary to the story line. This is simple psychology. Also if you read my original post I said I was wondering not complaining.

Matowar - If you read my original post you will notice I didn't say you were complaining, I believe my words were "what you find hard to believe are the outfits they are wearing". As for taking place in her mind, I have no idea, I haven't seen the movie yet or read any storyline info for it. It could just be a bizarre fantasy story, or she may be a school girl and that's what her mind put her in. Maybe she is easily influenced by the media of the world which constantly places women in ludicrous outfits to appeal to the male audiance and therefore her mind automatically placed her in what she thought all women in the spotlight wear. Maybe she was a whore and thats what she is used to wearing to be appealing.

Plus if it was in her mind clothing wouldn't get in her way if she didn't want it too, she could wear anything.

Also, some women do or would wear outfits like that, I know for a fact that if my wife was in a world with giant robots, dragons and sword fighting and she could wear that the whole time, she would. Except for when in a giant robot, then she would need some kind of jumpsuit with a sidearm and a lot of pockets.

But I digress. My original statement still stands, I think the outfits fit fine with the rest of the wild backdrop, which tends to wrap it all up in awesomeness.

Women wear those clothes even in real life, logically that means at some point they imagined themselves in the clothes.
Most women like to dress sexy. why do you think Victoria's Secret is so effing huge to them?

Watchmen was probably the best adapted film while it didn't quite go exactly like the comic it was close and still pulled in not only comic geeks but also mainstream viewers; which is something that needs to be taken into consideration when these movies are filmed because the money isn't in only comic book fans going to see it but in all the box office and it needs to appeal to everyone otherwise we get a Spiderman 3, made by the studio. Zach Snyder knows what appeals to all audiences.
