Seth Rogen And Evan Goldberg Shed Some Light On How They Plan To Adapt Robert Kirkman's INVINCIBLE

Last year, Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg signed on to write and direct Invincible for Universal Pictures. The Image Comics series is written by The Walking Dead scribe Robert Kirkman and wraps up later this year. It's a violent, humorous, and action-packed series which feels like a perfect fit for the big screen and it's easy to imagine the Preacher team doing oretty great things with the beloved property.

In a new interview, they were asked about their plans for the movie, and Goldberg promised that while we're getting a faithful adaptation, some changes are being made so it works in a live-action setting.

"We are definitely telling the classic story of Invincible, the filmmaker explained, "and we are doing some directorial things that will make it more dynamic than just the straight-up story. We’ve come up with some conventions that I think will make it a more cinematic experience that fits in the timeframe more. But we’re not reinventing the wheel here, we’re not going to massively change Invincible. The core story of that comic and the core characters are what makes it great."

That hopefully means it won't be too grounded and that we're still going to see all the crazy and colourful characters who make the comic book series so great. With so much story crammed into that, though, it will need to be trimmed down and changed, so that's where these two clearly come in. Are you guys excited for Invincible? Be sure to let us know your thoughts on that in the comments section.

A superhero movie that isn't Marvel or DC....I'm very excited. Last superhero movie THAT I SEEN that wasn't from them was Hancock.

The comic just ended and now they make a movie. Perfect timing I'd guess.
Pretty excited.

This is my favourite comic book, I’ve been waiting on this movie for years now. I’m still wondering how they’ll do everything...like the twist, the violence, and his superhero team?

I definitely can't wait for Invincible to hit the big screen,I'm hoping it will just as bloody and violent as the comic. Also keeping that bright hopefulness of Mark Grayson in the first arc.

F*ck Seth Rogan and the horse he rode in on.
After screwing up Green Hornet years ago (-yeah, that's right, I'm STILL not over that piece of trash) I wouldn't hand him a glass of water if his ass was on fire.
Maybe a gallon of high octane gasoline.

I always felt that a pumped up Jeffrey Dean Morgan would be a good fit for Omni Man.

Like most everything, the potential is there, as my wife says, "it's all in the delivery."

Can someone keep these assholes away from my beloved superheroes?

Find something else to ruin, Rogen.

Or stick with those disgusting Garth Ennis comics like Preacher and The Boys.
