TJ Miller Joins Marvel/Disney's BIG HERO 6 As 'Fred'

Or "Fredzilla" as he was known in the comics apparently. Miller is the first voice actor to be announced as joining the cast of Big Hero 6: the Disney/Marvel animated feature about a superteam led by child prodigy Hiro Hamada and his self-created robot Baymax.

According to Rotoscopers, comedian TJ Miller is the first voice actor to join the cast of the Marvel/Disney animated feature, Big Hero 6. Miller himself took to Twitter to reveal that he'll be providing the voice of Fred, who is described as "an aspiring low-budget filmmaker. He originally volunteered to be a test subject for the the robot experiments by Tadashi, but then stuck around to help the Tech Lab research team with their projects." Miller has also voiced Robbie in Gravity Falls, and Tuffnut in How to Train Your Dragon. I'm not familiar with Big Hero 6, but being the very first animated collaboration between Disney and Marvel to hit the big screen, I'd expect there to be a lot more fuss made about it closer to its release on November 7.

Seeing that it is an animated movie and a cross between Teen Titans (a show I loved) and Astro Boy (a show I completely despised)really makes me not care so much. I will be watching this when it's late at night and I have nothing else to do, but this isn't a show I will go, "Oh wait! A new episode is up!"

Ya know given the title of this movie there's gotta be a way they can cross promote with Subway.

This one has REALLY flown under the radar. Is this still even happening? lol

@MericawithanM, my point exactly. We heard about this movie like what a year or two ago and besides that this was being developed and that it had the Silver Samurai and nothing more. Flying under the radar is one thing but being forgotten about (especially because this doesn't seem like a big thing with Marvel, especially because it doesn't follow the MCU) is whole different ball game.
