I've been so pumped for this film. It's time for something completely original!

And Coheed and Cambria is perfect for the soundtrack since all their songs are based on an "end-of-days" scenario... Just pure awesomness...

I seen this a few days ago, but Ive put up post of comics and they got taken off, so I thought if I posted this it would be taken down for sure. I would like to know what we can and can not post, because sooner or later theres going to be a dry spell on comics to movies.

I LOVE TIM BURTON'S FILMS! (with the exception of Planet of the Apes; I get annoyed with that Michael Jackson-lookin' Monkey Chick!) :P

My favorite one to this day is still ED WOOD! :)

This one looks great, though!

Can't wait for 9-9-09!

This looks extremely interesting and original. My roommate had seen this and was trying to describe it. I can finally see what he's talking about. Something else to look forward to as fall approaches!

to Spidey209: Totally agree about Burton! Pull the string! Pull the string!

Yeah I saw this preview in the movies a couple months ago. I think it was Coraline or My Bloody Valentine or one of those 3-d movies.

I think Burton is just producing this..in other words, sticking his name on it! Great cast indeed.

@comicbookguy.."pull the string" haha, Martin Landau is voicing in this!

Okay maybe im being abit too harsh but come onnnnn!!!!

An what the frag has this got to do with comic book movies???

Best TIM BURTON films are Batman 1 & 2, Beetlejuice, Scissor hands an Ed wood! The puppet stuff is boring, ie Nightmare an Corpses bride!

Alright it looks alright lol. ; )

I've been excited for this movie for a few months now, I am a little surprised and disappointed now that I've realized how far out the release is. I saw the trailor before "Fast and Furious", and have seen it with every movie since.

Finally there seems to be animation made in the western world that although kids could watch it, it is definitely not aimed specifically at them (I love Pixar movies but they are clearly aimed at children although they are made in a way that adults can enjoy them too) this movie and the Goon seem to be a new direction for animation (or at least a western take on something already huge in japan and eastern europe), maybe I'm just deluded into thinking that animation can mature beyond kiddie films... I keep wishing for an animated horror movie that is scary as hell. 9 seems to be heading that way and you can see that it has been done with care.

In all fairness although it has a similarity to little big planet, it is probable that LBP copied the style rather than the other way around, since the short film has been around longer.

Now as for Sweney Todd, sure the begining is a bit.... off, but I think it's because when you begin watching it, you haven't accepted the fact that it is a musical, but once you move past that... well It's a really enjoyable movie.

And Burton at least has something that most directors don't have, and it is a very distinct vision and style, you may love it or hate it but you already know that it's going to be a visual feast, with a good story (except on planet of the apes), and with Danny Elfman behind the score/soundtrack. Although in this one he is only producer, that at least gives me hope that he would try to let Shane Acker have creative freedom.
