Megamind (voiced by Will Ferrell) is the most brilliant and least successful supervillain. Over the years, he has tried to conquer Metro City in every imaginable way. Each attempt is foiled by the caped superhero known as 'Metro Man,' (voiced by Brad Pitt) an invincible hero until the day Megamind actually kills him in the throes of one of his botched evil plans.

DreamWorks' Megamind, which will be released in theaters November 5, 2010, also stars the voices of Jonah Hill, Tina Fey, Justin Long, and Bill Hader.

It does have a superman feel to it. That's probably why I like it.

Good premise. And the characters seem solid. Wonder how he gets killed? If he actually does.

Definitely seeing this.

Ben Stiller was originally cast as MegaMind, and later Robert Downey, Jr., but Will Ferrell was given the role, due to scheduling conflicts for Downey.

I hope this puts Dreamworks out of Shrek territory. They had some good stuff, but Pixar blew them out of the water with more solid stories and less fart jokes. I'm a Brad Pitt fan so I'll check it out.

@Gweedo actually for the most part no. that makes them laugh, but when thats all there is, even the kids hate the film. films like "G-force", the Alvin and the Chipmunks movies... they rely too heavily on fart jokes. sure thats great as bonus, but you gotta have a good "ASS" to make the fart work to begin with. its all about foundation. know what i mean?

but...

i think fart jokes are what the "Twilight" movies are missing...

@Hela- I like the fart metaphor. Kids want to be drawn in to a movie as much as anyone, just in a different way. My 3-year old daughter loved Ponyo and there were no fart jokes at all. She laughs at her own farts. No movie needed. She's, also, a Power Pack fan! Any ideas for a Katie Power Costume for Halloween?
