A new motion poster for Ralph Breaks the Internet: Wreck-It Ralph 2 has been released, and while you can blame any of today's social media websites for the downfall of the internet, the poster seems to pin the blame on our titular baddie.
The poster types in a Google-like search box "Who broke the internet?" We already know the answer to the question based on the title of the movie, but check it out below anyway.
Ralph Breaks the Internet: Wreck-It Ralph 2 is a sequel to Walt Disney Animation Studios' 2012 hit animated comedy. In it, Ralph (John C. Reilly) ventures into uncharted cyberspace alongside Vanellope von Schweetz (Sarah Silverman) as they search the world wide web for a replacement part to save her video game, Sugar Rush. Together, the two will navigate the expansive web with the help of netizens (citizens of the internet) and a website entrepreneur named Yesss (voice of Taraji P. Henson), who is the head algorithm and the heart and soul of trend-making site “BuzzzTube.” Ralph may have a penchant for wrecking things, but the nature of "BuzzzTube" has a sort of ominous feel to it. Did Ralph really break the internet, as the accusatory poster suggests, or is he being set up?
We'll find out when Ralph Breaks the Internet: Wreck-It Ralph 2 hits theaters November 21. Sadly, there seems to have been a missed opportunity here as typing "Who broke the internet?" into Google search doesn't actually reveal a teaser tie-in with the film.
