The Parr family is getting into the Winter Olympics spirit, and on Wednesday, February 14th, Disney will release a special look at the highly anticipated sequel The Incredibles 2 in conjunction with the world event.

The news comes via some TV spots that aired during the Olympics coverage featuring our favorite superhero family enjoying the Winter Games. While these Olympics-themed clips seem to have been created specifically for the teasers, they do also give us what looks like some small glimpses of actual movie footage, including the Incredibles taking on the Underminer. Disney Pixar chief John Lasseter, who recently took a leave of absence, previously confirmed that The Incredibles 2 will pick up right after the first one finishes, meaning it will start with the big Underminer showdown.

For now though, check out the recent TV spots for The Incredibles 2

This isn't the first major event Disney and Pixar have celebrated with the Incredibles. Earlier this week, posters featuring legendary superhero costume designer Edna Mode were posted around the city for New York Fashion Week.

The Incredibles 2 hits theaters June 15, 2018.

Wonder what will be the theme of the second movie the first one had a good message about "not celebrating mediocrity" and "embracing who you are"

@auditore - Warner Bros. execs should have watched this film before interfering with Suicide Squad and Justice League.

I haven't been interested in any Pixar movie since UP, but The Incredibles is really a great movie. And I love the musical score.

If this movie is good enough, it could break some massive box office records for animation...

"They've grown in quality exponentially since then -proceeds to show high res Incredibles image followed by low res Incredibles 2 image that looks terrible-" xD

In all seriousness, the CGI has improved, but the character models are primarily the same. The extra details are unnecessary in regards to being able to see all the details of the texture of the clothes they are wearing because that's not what you are focused on and it was the story and characters that sold the first movie.

At the moment nothing about the sequel really interests me other than the score - the characters seem the same, but i've no interest in seeing Jack Jack as a baby still developing powers.
