Netflix has revealed (via SFFGazette.com) the full live-action cast of Avatar: The Last Airbender after previously confirming the show will be headlined by lead stars Gordon Cormier's Aang, Kiawentiio's Katara, Ian Ousley's Sokka, and Dallas Liu's Zuko.

Now, the Water Tribe, the Earth Kingdom, the Fire Nation, and the Air Nomads have joined forces to welcome a host of new faces to the cast, rounding out the ensemble with twenty exciting additions including Prey star Amber Midthunder, Star Trek legend George Takei, and Community standout Danny Pudi.

Based on the Nickelodeon animated series of the same name, this take on Avatar: The Last Airbender is described by showrunner Albert Kim as "a chance to showcase Asian and Indigenous characters as living, breathing people. Not just in a cartoon, but in a world that truly exists, very similar to the one we live in."

Other previously announced cast members include Elizabeth Yu (Azula), Paul Sun-Hyung Lee (Iroh), Daniel Dae Kim (Fire Lord Ozai), Maria Zhang (Suki), Tamlyn Tomita (Yukari), Yvonne Chapman (Avatar Kyoshi), and Casey Camp-Horinek (Gran Gran).

@TheWalkingCuban - if it was on HBO, it would have been cancelled already. Hopefully it’s not one season, if it’s good.

Amber Midhunter is a win. Not the role I would see her in but great nonetheless.

Takei sucks. As an actor and as a person. He’s in that group of celebrities that should really keep his mouth shut as he tends to be wrong about everything. At least it’s a small role.

Cautiously optimistic about this after the original creators bailed, and Netflix’s track record with adaptations. I do like the asian led casting.

Hoping for the best on this but prepared for the worst lol!

It was originally rumored that this show would be set in the Avatar world but be an original story. I really wish they had done that instead of remaking the animated series.

It’s going to be a lot harder to match wild expectations when adapting what many consider a masterpiece.

They going to try to film this all at once or something?

Cause a good amount if these characters are from season 2

I hope this show won't be a retread of the animated show. Sure it can take some familiar moments and overall story, but I think it's just uninspired to do the same thing but in live-action.

This cast is pretty great though for the most part. Midthunder as Yue is pretty cool

They really haven't missed with any of the castings; but the creators leaving the show really has me on edge. I'm hoping it's still great, but I'm still pretty apprehensive.

I'm glad they're bringing back Koh but they honestly should've brought back the VA that played him in the series. ImO George just doesn't have that menacing voice koh needs. Hope they do my boy justice.
