Here are Faust's versions of Supergirl, Batgirl and Wondergirl from Super Best Friends Forever, a new series of shorts (five episodes, and they’re a minute and 15 seconds long) for Cartoon Network's DC Nation block of programming which airs March 3rd..

I’ve been a comics fan my whole life. So I took what I knew of the history of Batgirl and Supergirl and Wondergirl. I just wanted to put together a superteam with the attitude of, ‘It’s fun to be a superhero.’ And taking a real approach, a fun and funny approach to what it’s like to be a teenage girl, and mixing that up with a superhero [story.]


Well, can't all be for the lads! Getting more kids, specifically girls, interested in comics and superheroes can never be a bad thing, so it should be fun for the youngsters.

The writing will suck, it will be immature and without any real tension and a fanatical fanbase of dicks will grow around it who will do fanvids better than the original series,

That's cool that young girls get a superhero cartoon that caters to them.

@Just1Superguy Heh, we're the nerds, but you seem to know more about these shows than we do. :P

Also, Powerpuff Girls wasn't a comic book property so it doesn't really count. These are well established comic book characters that are being adapted to a cartoon aimed at young girls. Big difference.

I'm all for this... Powerpuff Girls was awesome, I liked Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends, and my little cousin got me down with the ponies.

Of course, I also love comics like Herobear and the Kid and such, done with this kind of cartoon enthusiasm, so I don't flip out when things don't instantly look grim and gritty.
