It looks like another great indy comic will be getting the animated treatment soon. According to Splashpage the comic will be produced by Halo-8 Entertainment and adapted and directed by Mike Pizzolo.

It looks like the animated film will be based on the first comic arc "My First Maniac".

While there isn't a specific release date yet, it will be available on DVD sometime in 2011. Check out the short preview below!

WTF for that "preview". Anyway, Hack/Slash is the shit, bring it on. They should make the live action movies cheap B movie style, so they can have a bunch of em like the Friday the 13th series.

I think that is what it will look like.Notice they say Illustrated Film and not Animated Film. That's what they're calling the motion comic style these days. It's not exactly like a motion comic, but it's very similar. It's not traditional animation.

Check out the Halo-8 website.

MTL and I do agree on this subject. I can't stand motion comics. Love Hack though!

@InSpace......Better than Megan Sux right..I would take Kat Dennings and her rocking cleavage over Megan Sux and her unattractive body any day of the week

Hopefully the preview is jus that & the actual animation is full on - maybe something like HBO's "Spawn" cartoon would rock! Otherwise if it's just a motion comic, it's nothing to really write home about.
