DEATH NOTE: Check Out The Full Trailer For Adam Wingard's Live-Action Adaptation Of The Classic Manga

Though we did get a shadowy first look at Ryuk in the trailer for Adam Wingard's Death Note back in March, and another glimpse on this recent poster, the sinister Shinigami is on full display in this full-lenght trailer for the upcoming Netflix feature.

For those unfamiliar with the story, Death Note follows a student named Light Turner (Nat Wolff) who uncovers a mysterious notebook that kills people if their name is written in it.

Also starring Margaret Qualley as Mia Sutton, Keith Stanfield as “L,” Paul Nakauchi as Watari and Shea Whigham as James Turner, Death Note hits Netflix on August 25.

@BlackBeltJones - Agreed. The big action shots like the ferris wheel got me a little worried about them "Hollywood-ing" it, but all the staples of the manga story are there and I loved The Guest so I trust Wingard.

Slightly OT - I re-watched You're Next and The Guest last night. Such kick-ass, awesome movies. I'm down for anything Wingard does at this point (ESPECIALLY Godzilla vs. Kong).

I don't know anything about this story but I am definitely picking up some Green Goblin vibes from this.
