While it's possible that Avengers 4 will take us both backwards and forwards in time (thereby explaining rumours of an older Cassie Lang showing up), it seems Marvel Studios is playing the long game with Scott Lang's daughter based on some recent comments from Kevin Feige. After pointing out that he's pleased moviegoers are embracing Abby Ryder Fortson, he was asked if Marvel is really thinking a decade into the future to a time where she could take over the mantle as Stature.
After pausing for a moment, Feige teased: "That's what happens in the comic." We know that Marvel plans out its movies well into the future so this does make sense and Fortson has increased speculation that this is the route the studio is going down by dropping some hints about Ant-Man and The Wasp.
"I think in this movie she really shows that she's really interested in becoming a superhero," the youngster teased. "In the last movie, she doesn't really wrap her head around it, so in this movie, she really wants to fight with her dad." When asked who she would become, Fortson quickly answered, "Stature." It is pretty amazing that Marvel is thinking this far ahead and Feige has dropped some big hints that they're mulling over a Young Avengers movie somewhere down the line. What do you think?
