Aquaman has been shooting for quite some time now but the fact that the King of Atlantis doesn't swim into his own solo outing until next December means Warner Bros. didn't have all that much to show off in Hall H a little earlier today. However, those lucky enough to be there were treated to a sizzle reel featuring concept art and comments from director James Wan on bringing Atlantis to life.
A brief clip from the movie was also shown. Here's a description courtesy of Comic Book Resources:
A short sequence from the film was then shown — two older men on a fishing boat then discovering Atlantean ships, followed by a shot of the world of Atlantis. Then, Arthur Curry (Momoa) holding a sword, talking to someone off screen and preparing to fight — then the logo.
As I said, it was brief! However, star Jason Momoa (who came out on stage wielding Aquaman's trident) elaborated on what was shown by revealing: "That’s Ocean Master’s army. Black Manta’s got nothing like that. That’s my brother. I’m going to be fighting my brother." So, we're definitely getting a war between Arthur Curry and Orm and can expect Patrick Wilson to be in full on villain mode here!
That was it for Aquaman but it definitely sounds like we have a lot of reasons to be excited for this one. What do you guys think? As always, share your thoughts on this in the comments section below.
