AQUAMAN: Possible First Reactions Point To Warner Bros. Delivering A Winning DC Comics Adaptation

James Wan recently confirmed that work on Aquaman has finished and now possible first reactions from a screening have surfaced which may shed some light on how the movie compares to the rest of the DCEU...

Earlier this year, reactions from what was supposedly an Aquaman test screening popped up online and they were good but not great. Now, a number of Reddit and Twitter users have taken to social media to claim that they're among the first to see the DC Comics movie and despite signing NDAs, many of them are still sharing their thoughts on the movie.

One Redditor claims that the tone "closely parallels Ant-Man and The Wasp and Thor: Ragnarok" and believes that "it will probably suffer from some criticism that it deviates heavily from the original tone of the
DCEU to more closely resemble The MCU."

So, just how much attention should we give these reactions?

Honestly, it's hard to say, especially as this could just be a group of Twitter users getting together to spread a positive reaction about Aquaman in the hope that they will somehow help it succeed (that may sound far-fetched but look at what happened with A Star Is Born and Venom).

With any luck, these reactions are legit because it would bode well for the DC Comics adaptation. What do you guys think? As always, share your thoughts in the comments section below.

@mcu93 - Yes join them, work your way inside, like a worm in a great beast, you swirm through it, tingling and biting and eating, every obstacle eradicated, every enemy eaten. You continue this until the great beast has been has eaten inside out. It's bones shall form your castle and it's soul warm it's hearth.

Not sure I trust social media reactions, when you make people feel special for 'being the first on the west coast', then they're more than likely going to side with your product.

That said, I have faith that James Wan will deliver a good product, just would rather wait until the critics get ahold of it.

This is a 200m$ movie starring Amber Heard and Jason Momoa.

And people wonder why DC is having trouble competing with Marvel.

Aquaman is actually the first movie that I want to see in cinemas based on the trailers and not just because of the name e.g. Man of Steel, BVS, Justice League

@Jeight8 - I don't care much about Aquaman either and I think Jason Momoa is alright, but based in everything I've seen it looks like it will be an enjoyable good film.

@giannis - it looks solid but if I'm not invested in the title character is a hard sell for me.

I had the same problem with McGuire's spider-man although I loved sm2.

@MadameCipher - sorry man didn't find him compelling at all. Neither him nor dunst. That's why I'm not so pissed off as some people if Zendaya is my in the mcu. They can't do worse than dunst.

@Jeight8 - I thought dunst played the role well, and mj was good in the first spiderman, but i feel they never wrote it her well in the following ones.

I do like Tobey. I admit he is not quite comicbook accurate but he's so lovable. And i never noticed, he completely changes his voice when he is spiderman.

Seriously, anyone watch the scenes where he talks as spiderman, and it sounds like a completely different person.

I may be biased though, i actually like all the spiderman, even andrew's.
