Details To AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON Scenes Filmed

You probably could have put two and two together by looking at the set photos, but a description of The Avengers: Age of Ultron scenes filmed has emerged as well as a closer look at the sequel's villain.

In addition to Jeremy Renner's return as Hawkeye, today's filming for The Avengers: Age of Ultron markedly brought the first look at newcomers Elizabeth Olsen and Aaron Taylor-Johnson as the supertwins Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver. Set photos also revealed the presence (or practical head and shoulders) of the sequel's titular villain, Ultron.  As for what the action sequences involved, CineFilos, whose sources we won't disclose, reports that the sentient robot is in fact the cause of all the chaos in the fictional Eastern European city of Sokovia. Apparently, Pietro Maximoff first takes on Ultron and his minions before he is joined by Wanda and Clint Barton, who are trying to rescue a bunch of refugees by getting them to a dropship. This is of course the cargo-like structure pictured on the set, and it is also why the Avengers actors were seen looking up while cameras were rolling. Anyhow, Wanda uses her powers to keep up with Ultron as the refugees head for the dropship. We probably could have gathered all of this just by looking the set photos, but more of them have surfaced online with a closer look at James Spader's Ultron stand-in. What do you think?

I'm sorry, I guess I forgot the part in the comics where Ultron wore a winter coat, black pants and gloves!

This movie is a disaster.

If you cut out the mouth, it kinda looks like Ultron

I knew it didn't these set photos didn't take place in the beginning like a lot speculated. If it did, why would ULTRON be on set?

Anyways, I really like the ULTRON stand-in. Hawkeye outfit looks boring, Quicksilver looks ok but the hair is iffy, Scarlett witch look like an emo.

Still can't wait!

ULTRON is too chrome looking. But the CGI will be better.

I'm pretty sure this "early" version of Ultron is going to have James Spader's face CGI'd onto it. Then eventually, it becomes the classic Ultron design.

Like Iron Man, Ultron should NOT be hard to translate to film at all. His comicbook counterpart would look freakin awesome on screen.

Also, since this scene takes place later in the film, does that confirm those will be the outfits/costumes for the heroes?

Yeah, they should use that. It looks freakin badass. I'm thinking that they are just using this suit to get down the lighting and textures. A lot can change in post.

cartoon22-that was just aplaceholder image, maybe weill get later in the film, whedon has said ultron will have a couple different iterations throughout the film

i like look close up, the cgi will make it look much better,it looks like a cross between an iron man suit and ultron which is fine imo
Cartoon22
Cartoon22 - 3/24/2014, 6:27 PM
yeah They showed us this and it was perfect they better give us this at least in the last part if he does have different looks in the film . but what worries me is that even Joss Whedon said in an interview right after they showed the Avengers 2 teaser when asked how ultron would look like in film since no one had seen the teaser yet but those selected few that did . Joss said well Ultron can't really translate well to film with the open mouth since he can't show any emotion ( something along the lines of that don't quote e exactly) but all i was thinking is that the open mouth Ultron looks menacing just move the lights in the helmet to convey when he talks

every time something comes out you seem to forget everything else that have been said
-whedon said that Ultron will be more than a robot with just an open mouth. it looks good in the comics but he didn't like it for the movie.
- he also said that Ultron will evolve during the movie, so if this face don't even have a mouth, then it's obvious that this is not the final design.
-he also want Ultron to show emotions, so the face won't be just a robot head (I just hope they don't use Spader as the final version looking like a human)

Ultron's face kinda reminds me of his look from when he took control of the Phalanx in Annihilation Conquest. Looks badass to me even for a reference look.
