what's the point of giving Hawkeye a new costume if they couldnt even include his cowl? Ugh

@mmadadamm

cuz it doesn't make sense for this incarnation of hawkeye to wear one. he'd look ridiculous.

Because Joss Whedon doesn't give characters costumes for no reason. Which is why I don't understand why everyone expects quicksilver and scarlet witch to suddenly be "issued" their costumes at the end of the movie. Where in any of the MCU does that have precedence?

Damn I'd hate to interview Marvel actors and stuff. You just can't get anything. Someone should get them all in one location and give them A LOT of booze and THEN ask them questions hahaha

I wonder if in their contracts there are financial penalties for disclosing information....that'd keep me quiet

u missed the part where I said this incarnation would not have need for one. he is/was a tactical agent. not a "superhero"

@Josh Wilding have you interviewed any Marvel actors? And if so was it as hard to get info out of as it was for these guys?

lol I think its a matter of asking the right questions, which they never do.

@dunejedi

sigh. you again. first off, cap wore a HELMET for most of his career. the only time he wore a "mask" is when SHEILD gave him his uniform. It was issued. not his choice. he clearly ditched it, and went back to helmets first chance he go i.e. cap 2. nobody in this universe wears mask(not yet anyway), why would hawkeye, the guy least needing to wear one start.

@dunejedi

and I didn't lay out the difference between superhero and tactical agent cuz I figured ur brain would do it for u. his first instance of "super heroics" was the battle of new York. so now all of a sudden he is gonna think to himself..hey I want a mask? lol just stop.

@kakinurmawth

I know right. I just wish they'd get real fans to start asking the questions. the interviewers half the time don't know what they are even talking about. how do I know what respone actors are gonna give to ur questions before they even open there mouths? lol

I've seen the cowl and I think it's a rather dated look. He doesn't need it, IMO.

I'm not a huge fan of the long jacket, but it seems like it will serve it's purpose with the pics I've seen.

I really can't wait for this movie. After watching GOTG, I'm so effing ready for this movie now!

You want a cowl? I give you a cowl

there...
NitPicker
NitPicker - 8/1/2014, 11:42 PM

I think they should give him the cowl. He looks so generic in the movies. He has no type of presence.

Remember that scene in The Avengers where you see THE BLACK WIDOW take control of the Chitauri chariot, then you see IRON MAN provide some cover for her, then you see CAPTAIN AMERICA and IRON MAN kicking kicking some Chitauri ass on the street below, then you see IRON MAN fly up the side of a building, then you see that s.h.i.e.l.d. agent (what's his face?) shoot an arrow, then you see THE HULK and THOR swatting the Chitauri away before bringing down a Leviathan.

And if they aren't going to give him the cowl, then they should at least give him the purple outfit. Look at that Age of Ultron picture they released last week. You see The Hulk all big and green. You see Thor's red cape blowing in the wind. You see Quicksilver's blue streak as he runs through the battle field. All of the characters stand out. Except Hawkeye. He kinda blends in with all the Ultrons. If they had given him the purple outfit, not only would that picture look better, but I think people would be much more interested in seeing Hawkeye in these movies.
